This team is making some pretty craptastic pitchers look like absolute aces lately. Lilly, 10 Ks in 7? Moyer, 8 Ks in 6? You have to be kidding me.
Moyer has over 200 wins. That's more than Schilling. He's not a bad pitcher. He's just a soft-tosser

I feel secure now in our rotation. Curt Schilling has just made me smile from ear to ear for the first time since... well since Beckett flipped out on the mound because hes a beast. I love this.

I would love to comment on this game, but I REALLY dont want to read through 13 pages of Play by Play.

Schilling was owning and Gonzo drove in both runs. There, you're caught up. :D

Thanks.

I only watched the first inning. Now im strictly watching the Yankee game and turning to the Mets on commercial.

I guess since Schil is doing good I might have to tune in for a few minutes.

He just finished the 8th, so you'll be seeing Papelbon if you tune in now.

He's got 200 wins because he's been making starts for over 20 years now, and he's played for some pretty good teams. His career ERA is slightly above average and his K/9 rate is around 5.

It is frustrating to watch those types of pitchers mow the team down

I agree as well. Never thought highly of Moyer as he has very average stuff.

He could have finished the game.

Does anyone else just love how confident (and GOOD) Gonzalez is at SS? That pop fly was a tough play, in the rain. its so nice to see.

Ya it's great to have that confidence that when there is a play to be made at short--he will most likely take care of it. It's a lot better than sitting on the edge of my seat everytime rent-a-wreck made a play last year!:)
