Second series of the year brings us to Baltimore to face the Orioles that always have given the Sox a tough time. Kevin Millar will obviously be interesting to watch, as thus far he has done pretty well. Hopefully Clement can continue his great success against the Orioles and bring us our 3rd win. Go Sox!

Clement's got his sinker back that's been getting rave reviews since the start of spring training. I bet we're going to get a good look at this infield defense tonight. I also have the feeling Manny's bat is going to come alive at Camden Yards (Fenway South).

Clement's game-by-game vs. Baltimore last year:

04/21: 8 IP, 8 hits, 0 ER, 7/1 SO/BB, 110 PC, WIN (Camden Yards)

04/26: 4.2 IP, 12 hits, 7 ER, 1/1 SO/BB, 96 PC, ND (Fenway Park)

06/02: 6 IP, 6 hits, 3 ER, 4/3 SO/BB, 101 PC, ND (Fenway Park)

09/03: 8 IP, 6 hits, 2 ER, 4/2 SO/BB, 110 PC, WIN (Fenway Park)

09/24: 6 IP, 4 hits, 0 ER, 4/6 SO/BB, 116 PC, ND (Camden Yards)

To sum a little of that up, last year at Oriole Park in two matchups Clement was brillaint. A combined 14 IP in those two games not allowing an earned run while giving up only tweleve Oriole hits. Should be a good game this evening.

I think this is going to be a good series. Clement kicks the series off tonight. Hope he can pitch like he did in the first half of last year. But maybe this time around he can do it all year and be the Matt Clement that we saw in the beginning. If the bats get going and the pitching is strong I don't see why the Sox can't win this series.

Why didn't they start Cora? He has success against Cabrera.

For the team to get into any sort of rhythm, I don't think they can keep flip-flopping shortstops every few games. For right now, the jury's still out on both of these players. But Gonzalez is our starter for as long as I can see right now.

With that, I'm pretty stoked that the season has gotten off to a great start. If shortstop is our biggest worry (closer isn't, we have plenty of options), then we're in good shape.

I really hope we can get clement back to where he was at the beggining of last year. Has his sinker really been that nasty since spring training? Ever since that line drive hes been way to inconsictant.

I just love Loretta ABs. Even if he doesn't do anything, he make the pitcher throw a shitload of pitches.
