The wonderlic scores have been announced. At this time I can't find a link that has a complete listing of the scores. The two I did see included Vince Young's official second test score of 15. Meanwhile Matt Leinart posted a respectable 35 on the test. I'm trying to find Jay Cutler's score but so far no luck.

This should put to rest most arguments that Vince Young should be taken over Matt Leinart. Leinart has the atheltic ability, clear understanding of an NFL offense, and leadership skills that excel over Vince Young.

Well actually....I think it means more that Leinhart has a better chance to solve a riddle than to excel in a NFL offense.....I'd still take Matt first, but from the 15 questions I saw of that test, they were like what 2 divided by 2divided by 2 divided by 3.....and not what should you do with a three man rush and a TE downfield w/ a open lane, 3 yards to first down?

So I don't really look at those scores at an ability to play the game.

Leinart has played in a Pro Style offense and has had success while Vince Young has not really played in a pro style offense ever. Leinart is the easy decision between him or Vince Young.

Matt Leinart didn't have to make one decision the entire time he was at USC. He dropped back and threw it to one of the 4 open WRs.

I do not understand how someone an get below a 25 on that test. I tok some sample questions and they reminded me very much of my 4th grade Connecticut Mastery Test.

Not completely true. He also got to hand the ball to one of the best college football players of the last decade half the time too.

Don't get me wrong. I think Leinart will be a decent NFL QB, but I think he is a little overrated right now. Yes, even more overrated than Young because there is at least some skepticism surrounding Young right now.

Now I could be wrong but didn't Peyton Manning and Carson Palmer have fantastic weapons in there college careers?? I think they did.....but they also knew how to utilize them well.

Passing the ball for 3556, 3322, 3815 yards, never throwing double digit INTs, and QB ratings of 164.46, 156.54, 157.74 throughout your college career with NFL intangibles while running a pro style offense.....thats pretty damn good....

So if Vince Young doesn't have the brains or passing efficiency of Matt Leinart what does he have?? Does anyone honestly think Vince Young's speed will save him?? Place great weapons around Vince Young and I predict he mis-uses them while Matt Leinart gets everything he can out of them.

FWIW, Young's passer rating was 163.9 last year. The guy didn't score well on an elementary level standardized test. So what, Dexter Manley finished 4-years at Oklahoma State without being able to read, but I doubt opposing QBs were thinking about his reading comprehension when he lined up against them.

I put zero stock in wonderlic tests. Donavan McNabb scored like a 12 on his test. Same with a bunch of others. s*** Dan Marino scored a 12.

The difference though, is that I'm sure Vince Young was trying his hardest.

And there should have never been a question to begin with about who should be drafted first. For three years, Young did nothing but run the ball and fall well short of expectations. Leinart will be taken at number two, behind Reggie Bush, while Vince will settle for somewhere 3-5.

I think the talent surrounding Matt Leinart makes him a question mark.

Let's see... he had the Nations best backfield, the nations best offensive line, and the nations best WR's. I could be successful in that system.

Yeah, I'm slightly skeptical of Leinart for the same reasons. That is also who Cutler has flown up the draft charts, because he's been in a losing program and still performed.

i have recently changed my mind about vince young after seeing him in the championship game... however, as a pro... i wouldn't be in a hurry to trust my offense in his hands. he reminds me too much of vick in atlanta and his inability to effectively use the weapons at his disposal. my fear as an offensive coordinator is that he would rely too much on running too soon instead of letting the play develop and let his receivers get open.

leinart on the other hands reminds me of carson palmer with maybe not as strong an arm. i guess a taller version of a drew brees, which still isn't too bad.

Hands down you have Matt Leinart because he has more experience as a quaterback in a "NFL" team. USC runs its team like any NFL team. If you want a throwing quaterback you take Leinart but if you want a rushing quaterback you take Young

You have to be one of the smartest human beings EVER. I hope one day I can have the intelligent thought process you have. :D

Also don't take this comment I made offensive, because you have an excuse, you're a Duke fan.

If you want immediate results in the NFL it would be better to go with Lienart. He has played in an NFL style offence.

Vince Young on the other hand will be a project. His entire collegiate career was get in the shotgun, make his recievers run routes, and let him do whatever the hell he wants.
