No he's said before that he wishes things could have gone differently, and he says all the time he wishes the media wasn't so cruel.

Oh. Oops then.

Bonds, when the season had ended, set a goal to lose 25-30 pounds by the start of spring training. And guess how much he basically lost... that would be just 5 pounds.

The weight he'll be putting on his weak knees will be a rehash of the end of last season (say hell to the bench Barry). Do the Giants really want him in the outfield? Let alone 100 plus games just so he can try & break a record?

Anyways, I got the Dodgers (Red Sox West) to come out on top in this weak division.

IMO, he said he was gonna lose the weight because he wanted to play at the WBC, thinking that it owuld be a good way for him to garner some goodwill from the fans and media during the end of his career. And please don't tell me he doesn't care what people thinks. The man's got liike 3 or 4 guys who take care of his image. he's a classic case of someone who didnt get enough hugs from daddy.

Anyway, abck to the topic. He thinks, ok I sgotta top the steroids for this offseason in order to play the WBC cuz the drug tests will be more stringent than the MLB one, so he goes off the steroids. weeks later, he learns that the tests they do will detect steroids up to 1 year so he's like, forget that.

end of story.

the sad thing is, this scenario is actually completely feasible. How can you label anyone the greatest player when the above referenced scenario is so completely feasible??

I strongly believe he thought this too. Bonds is a walking disaster not only for the game, but he's a f***ing moron too. He wants to make friends with the media at first, but can't because he's always telling everyone that they're stuck up and they don't care about anyone but themselves. Probably some 'roid rage.

Yes, that referenced scenario makes sense and I agree with you 100%.

so now that hes gone (or will be gone) whose left bsides Giambi ?

Giambi and Sheffield would be the only 2 players left in the league that we know used steroids ... but there are some other guys floating around that you could question. Juan Gone, Jim Thome, and Pudge come to mind ... can't think of any others right now.

Brett Boone fa sho, noticed how he lost weight?

Also an an unbiased note, a lot of the Yankee fans I know think Trot is on the juice, which kinda makes sense, but I don't think is true.

With Trot's religous roots, I find it hard to believe he would be into cheating. That's just me though.

These ballplayers dont see it as cheating, just enhancing their abilities. To them it's like a High School student getting extra Math help to improve his grade, and maybe push him atop the class or something. Its no big thing to them.

It should be big ... unless of course your math tutor killed people.

I doubt Bonds saw it that way. I think he knew what he was doing was wrong, but he thought he could keep it a secret and get away with it.

Barry Bonds just isn't a likeable guy, if anyone should break the HR record, I pray that it will not be him.

Don't worry. Even if he some how breaks the record, barring injury, Pujols will shatter it.

Yeah, Pujols has a great chance; he's only 26 and has 200 HR's i think. If he stays consistent for 15 more years he could do it.

At 26 he'll probably just be coming into his prime this year, or next. He's already averaging 40 HRs a year.

If he is in fact 26. There is speculation that he is not. Thats why the Cards were reluctant to give him 7 years, if you remember. Personally, I believe he is 26, but there is no denying that he looks like he's at least 30.

What are you saying you think he has a fake birth certificate?

There have be a number of players in the past that have lied about their age. Alfonso Soriono most recently if I'm not mistaken.

If Papi had gotten good younger and played his whole career in Boston, I bet he could've had a go at the HR record.

You could say that about A LOT of players.

If you read my post, you will see that I dont think so, but many others do.
