That's somewhat true. However, these people got screwed without satisfaction. Also, in compensation, they get a better chance a somewhat reduced prizes. All in all, I tried to make it as even as possible. I might be off a little in the mathematical equivalents, however, I'll chalk that up to pain and suffering.

First off, nobody is looking to derail SFC's thread, nor do the condolences do that. We appreciate what SFC is doing, and the next person who registers puts the thread back on topic.

 

Second, you're not even involved in this pool. Who died and made you boss? If SFC takes exception to the condolences, certainly they or the admin should be the one to comment on that.

 

Last, and most importantly, someone suddenly and unexpectly lost a friend. Demonstrate some class and decorum or please politely refrain from commenting.

They didn't get banned for taking threads off-topic; they were banned because several members here overreacted and were fueding with them in just about every thread they posted in.

 

Just about every thread on this forum gets taken off-topic at some point, and that is the nature of discussion. It wil typically go off on tangents, but invariably gets back on point.

No problem here. I also extend my condolences. The loss of friends and family, certainly dwarfs, any contest , thread or other trivial bull s***. I've lost and buried way too many people. This place is for fun and enjoyment, a chance to get away from the stress and rigors of our daily lives, nothing more.

In effort to make sure that this grid gets filled, I have closed the grid. The reasons, are that it appears highly unlikely that the grid will be filled by noon tomorrow ( the deadline ). It was suggested to extend the deadline a few hours, this is not feasible to to my time constraints ( Tax Season, having a parties tomorrow for my twins birthday and Super Bowl ) and I doubt that the additional time will matter.

 

Now for the good news. All sixteen members that signed up for the Bonus Super Bowl Grid are in. In addition, to fill out the grid all but one of the 37 members of the original grid are in also. I eliminated myself so the numbers will work. Here's the breakout :

 

--The 16 signed-up for Bonus Grid get 4 squares ............ 16 x 4 = 64

--The 36 in the original pool get 1 square each............... 36 x 1 = 36

 

---------Total Squares Filled.......................................... 100

 

---------Total Squares Needed....................................... 100

Now I think this is the fairest we can get. I think almost everyone will have 4 (with a small minority getting 3)
