I beg to differ. Steve Nash? Ever heard of him? Hes made Raja Bell, James Jones, Eddie House, and Boris Diaw all into respectable players.

These two have really grown on me. Although ALL of our new guys have grown on me, but Raja and James's jerseys I plan on getting very soon.

he gives them the ball in open positions. If they can't knock down open shots, then they suck. And marion drives it to the whole and dunks it, that makes him good. As for Kobe, Kobe does what Kobe does, and that is what makes Kobe good. You have a biast since your a suns fan. As a spectator, Kobe is amazing. And probably the best I have ever seen. I do say he is better then MJ.

I am a Celtics fan. I am unbiased in this opinion. Nash makes all his players better because he creates those open shots, finding the guys open. Kobe doesnt make his teammates better because he doesnt pass them the ball. Who would I rather build my team around? Steve Nash.

Thats the thing, NBA players MAKE open shots. Especially these guys. Thats why Brain Colangelo brought Raja and James in. Eddie too, but he was more or less brought in as a backup for Steve and because he went to Arizona State. Boris Diaw was a throw in (LMAO one of the best throw ins in NBA history  ) and we had ZERO clue of his potential.

But I have a quetsion or two for you, how old are you (probably weren't old enough to see Jordan in action during his prime)? Whos your team (I have only one guess...and I'd bet I'm right too)? Shawn Marion doesn't JUST dunk the ball. He shoots jumpers, has an amazing floater and a nice fadeway from around 12-15 feet that is UNBLOCKABLE.

You are right about the unblockable part. His jumpshot is so unorthodox but he gets it off so fast. One of the better catch and shoot guys in the league along with Michael Redd.

Mike Bibby is really good at that too.

Man, I just noticed...

1) This 81-point performance was Kobe's 666th NBA game.

2) 66 shots (46 FG attempts, 20 FT attempts)

He's a demon. Oooooooooo.

He could be a much better player if he passed the ball more. Now teams know he is going to shoot so they can start to double team him and stuff...
Somehow I don't think it took an 81 point game for teams to realize they need to shut down Kobe. The problem is they can't.

Kobe is a fantastic scorer, and there is nothing wrong with that. Maybe if he had some legitimate passing options on his team he'd have more assists. The fact that he can take over a game and win it by himself, that's unbelievable.

Yeah, but here's the problem with players like him.

Kobe is what you might call a "gunner." He shoots a lot, and if he's not making them, he'll continue to shoot until they go. That can really hurt his team, and you can't expect him to be in the zone every night.

Watched SC this morning in the number 7 play i believe in top 10, was Kobe PASSING a no look pass to Smush Parker for a big time slam. And i think i just saw someone say the best or one of the best....

God, sometimes I think if Brian Scalabrine by some insane twist of events scored 81 points in a game, you might compare him to MJ...

Oh my gosh. One pass! Well it was a nice pass so that must make him the best or one of the best...

No one's hating Kobe for being a magnificent player. We've recognized this fact, and we know he's good. He doesn't pass the ball though, which I'm fine with I guess. If it gives his team a chance to win the game, then fine, by all means, score.

Yeah but the problem with all his shooting is that no one on the team can possibly get better if they don't get the ball, so as long as Kobe wants to shoot 60 times a game ... his team is going to suck.

So long as Kobe doesn't shoot that many times a game, his team's going to be among the worst in the league.

Yeah maybe this year, but they'll be better for next year. If getting to the playoffs as the 8 seed if your lucky and being 1 and done even if you do make it is your goal then ya Kobe should be shooting. But if you want to build a team that can actually win championships he can't shoot that much.
