But we can't forget the fact that it was a Millar walk that set up that Dave Roberts steal. If Millar isn't on the team in 2004, it is highly unlikely that the sox win the world series.

ya he did get the walk but 2005 was not 2004 and we was pretty much useless last year.

damn, you guys are ridiculous lol. Without this guy there is a chance you dont win that World Series. But here you are, rather than praising him for 2004, you're criticizing him for 2005. You guys went 86 years without one, try and cherish it, because it could be another 86 before the sox pick up number 7.

lets please not start another sox vs yanks fight of "86 years" or "26 to 6", sorry its just getting annoying

I praise Blowhorn for 2004, but good riddance in 2005.

no no no, that wasnt my intention. All I was saying is that I would imagine you guys would just cherish the 2004 championship and the guys who were a part of it.

Didnt mean to make a thing out of it, just a statement.

ditto for Embree

its alright 26 to 6, I was just wary of how these red sox fans vs yanks fans fights can start so easy with the slighest comment.

I understaqnd what you guys are saying. But what I mean is that me personally, no matter what Jim Leyritz did after 1996, I could never boo him. Same for Sojo with 2000, Brosious in '98, etc. etc. etc.

Only guy who im not too fond of that got a big hit in a world series game for us is Luis Polonia

..and thats only because he likes to have sex with 15 year old girls.

I don't think anyone said anything about booing Millar. I am sure that he'll get a nice hand when he returns. We just don't want him playing 1B or batting 6th in 2006. Would you have liked to see Leyritz starting at 1B in any of the years since 1996?

BTW I thought the underage sex thing would have made Polonia popular with Yankee fans.

It's pretty funny that you insulted a player who doesn't exist.

I don't like millar, he always seemed like he didn't care when he did his usual pop up to right and it annoyed the crap out of me. I think snow is a great assest and that if snow has a good year we won't remember millar and his dumb jokes

Well this came somewhat of a surprise to me.

http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/7428

As you can see from his stats, he had made a fine debut in the majors. It would be interesting if Boston were to sign him to a minor league deal.

123 games with Triple A Ottawa, hit .288 with 13 Hrs & 81 RBIs

14 games with Baltimore, hit .303 & .378 OBP with 1 HR & 3 RBIs

Padres claimed first baseman Walter Young off waivers from the Orioles.

Odd. Young could be worthy of the 40-man roster spot, but we would have thought the Padres would have been about the last team to claim him. He can't play anywhere but first base and the team already has Ryan Klesko, Adrian Gonzalez, Paul McAnulty, Tagg Bozied and Michael Johnson as possibilities there. Maybe this is a sign that Gonzalez remains available in trade talks. Jan 19

i was hoping the sox would claim him and at least give him a shot at DH or 1st in Pawtucket for the year

I agree, but IDK if Boston would have wanted to use a 40 Man spot on him.

I too am surprised he got picked up by San Diego
