Scalabrine is the type of player that makes me feel like I can be in the NBA. Anyways I love Derrick Rose. Watching him play is a treat. I like that one play where there were 4 defenders and he slipped by the them with the nice layup.

Rondo had a triple double, great great game crazy that he can do that just coming off of an injury. Celtics look like a great team and only going to get better when Perk gets back, and KG.

Does any one know when KG is supposed to come back by the way hard for me to keep track on vacation

I'm so pissed. Losing back to back games on the road at the Knicks and Celtics really deflated things. If we had the games in the reverse order I'd have liked our chances vs. the Celtics in the first game, but coming from a track meet vs. the Knicks to then play Boston the next day was a recipe for disaster.

Bulls game was fun to watch last night. I loved it at the end when Scal had the ball and Stacey King was like' date=' "Scalabrine in isolation!" And when he made the shot, the crowd started chanting "MVP." LOL. Good stuff.[/quote']

Thats real funny i only thought that celtics fan would joke around with him good to know that there are other city's that can make fun of his "skills"

The NBA should give Scalabrine an extra point for every shot he makes. It'll let him think that he's contributing, and it'll remind the black players that they still won't be able to make as much as their white counterparts. ;)

The Melo to NJ rumor has picked up quite a bit of steam in the past couple of days.

http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/nba/news/story?id=6005596

Sources told ESPN.com on Monday morning that one of the newer obstacles in trade talks is Denver's determination to send Al Harrington to New Jersey as part of the three-team deal.

The Nets, sources said, are reluctant to absorb the four years and $28 million remaining on Harrington's contract, which means that a fourth team willing to trade for Harrington will be needed unless the Nuggets, who are trying to reduce their luxury-tax bill, abandon the idea of trying to include Harrington.

As of late Sunday night, sources said, New Jersey believed it was poised to receive Anthony, Billups and Hamilton, with Denver landing two future first-round picks and six players. The Nuggets' haul would feature Nets rookie Derrick Favors, former All-Star guard Devin Harris and Nets sharpshooter Anthony Morrow. In addition, the Nuggets would bring in the New Jersey threesome of Quinton Ross, Ben Uzoh and Stephen Graham included for salary-cap purposes.

Detroit, meanwhile, was to receive Nets big man Johan Petro and the expiring contract of Nets forward Troy Murphy, with the Pistons motivated to join in by the $17-plus million in long-term savings they'd earn by shedding Hamilton's contract.

But Denver's decision to play Anthony and Billups against New Orleans and a Bergen Record report Sunday night that the Nuggets want to make changes to the latest trade layout clearly rankled the Nets.

The Record of New Jersey quoted an unnamed team official within the league as saying: "The deal is close. But Denver is looking to hit a home run."

Earlier Sunday, one source close to the talks told ESPN.com that Sunday's proposed trade was "on the 10-yard-line." Said another source with knowledge of the state of negotiations: "Almost there."

One spark to the suddenly fast-moving nature of weekend negotiations, sources said, is the fact that Detroit is no longer being asked to surrender a first-round pick for the right to trade away the two years and $25 million left on Hamilton's contract. Another key was Denver's lopsided loss Thursday night in Sacramento on TNT. Sources said the embarrassing defeat finally began to convince Nuggets management that the drama surrounding what is widely regarded as the inevitable trade of Anthony had crushed the team's resolve.

f*** it he wants to go let him go what can you do. The only thing is this trade makes no sense to me. Does he want to be closer to New York or something? I really don't know. I'm not going to go all Cleveland on him but that would be stupid. It'd also really hurt the Nuggets. We're doing bad as it is with Melo without him is really going to hurt.

Well the Nuggets are never going to get equal value for Melo, or anything close. That said, if this went down, I'd applaud Ujiri. Not a bad package.

If anything, Denver could get the last laugh here, considering how Melo's made them his prison bitch through all this. Billups, Rip, Melo, and Brook Lopez isn't going to win the Nets a title. They'd be lucky to get 1st round home court with that team, in a full year of play, let alone this season. They'd also be emptying just about all their tradeable pieces in this deal, limiting how much improving they can do until Rip and Billups are expiring contracts (and even then, you need actual prospects to go with those contracts, unless some other team is in a world of financial hurt and has something desirable).

Meanwhile, in Denver, Favors has very high upside and could develop into a franchise player at PF. His lame stats so far are largely due to lack of minutes and Avery just horribly misusing him. Harris is a nice player who could easily be flipped elsewhere for something more useful to Denver (Batum?). Worst case scenario, you have a proven scorer next to Lawson. Morrow's nice. Unloading Billups is huge (unloading Harrington would be better, but doubt that happens).

Keep your chin up RSFFL, this could end up like the Jason Kidd deal did for Dallas.

I went to the Wizards/Kings game tonight, it sounds like a s***** match up but it was actually a really good game, it went into overtime and Nick Young dropped 43.

Wall wasn't great tonight, he had some solid stats (22 points, 9 assists, 6 rebounds), but he only shot 6-19 and had 6 turnovers.. But he did make all 10 of his free throws and was huge down the stretch.

Edit: and I think he got hurt, him and Blatche left the game and didn't return at all for the overtime.

This has nothing to do with anything, but the whole 'respect for the game' initiative is such petty ********. ESPN (and Disney by extension, since they own the ESPN and ABC networks) is wrecking this league by turning it into a little league game with no contact or naughty words allowed. Good god.

The worst part is the inconsistency when it comes to the technical fouls. Take tonight's Knicks' game for example. Early in the game Amar'e has an initial reaction to a non-foul call, and get hits with a technical. Then, just a few minutes ago, Aldridge gets called for an offensive foul, complains loudly for a good five seconds while jogging towards the official, and there's no call.

I feel like Nick Young should be better than he is. He's a natural scorer, but he's inconsistent and really can't do anything else.

Yeah as a Wizards fan he drives me crazy sometimes, he is inconsistent as they come. But he is only 25 and looks like he might finally be reaching his potential. He almost literally does nothing but score though.

Anyway, anybody see the Cavs/Lakers game last night?
