If that Bulls team had split up after 3 or 4 years, Jordan wouldn't have 6 either. Besides, team accomplishments mean very little towards determining a single players ability. If you want to argue for the contrary, Bill Russell is the greatest of all time.

jordan has both , single accomplishment and team ,like i said i could go on and on . by the way regular season MVP ,he got that by himself not because of his team ,the same could be said about the finals MVP ,his ring on the other hand is different

So why do some personal achievements prove something while others don't? For instance, wasn't it you that tried to convince me that Kobe was a poor defensive player and that he made the NBA All-Defensive team based on name alone? There's no bigger name than Michael Jordan. Who are you to say that he didn't get some regular season MVP's on name alone? His teams, after all, didn't fair too poorly in his absence. They didn't win championships, but they were still one of the better teams in the league.

when jordan was out , yes they were still a good team , however no one on that team could carry them in the playoff or make a big shot when needed, if jordan would have been there they could have had make it 8 in a row, and jordan's numbers proves it for his MVP's

I still think MJ is not the greatest player, only reason people say that is because he won 6 Champs. and 6 MVP's. But I still think he had an amazing team around him, and one of the greatest coaches ever leading him.

I'll agree 100% with you. People like to base the argument on rings and then forget about Bill Russell. Bottom line is that nobody has ever dominated the game like Wilt Chamberlain. And if not for that Celtics Dynasty, he'd have a handful of rings as well.

yea, i saw on the TV the other day about the rivalry between the two(chamberlain, and russel) and never realized that the actual Team(celtics) always stopped the one man team. Which just goes to show, it is a Team effort and not individual.

Well, those teams were always made up of some great individuals as well. They had all sorts of Hall of Famers in those 13 years.

The NBA will be playing with a new ball next year. I think it will be introduced during the draft.

Ive heard loads of talk about AI going to the Celtics. I'm still on the fence about this one. Yeah, AI is a great player, but would he really fit in? I also hear the Sixers want Gomes, who I would be willing to part with if we got AI in return.

But if that doesn't cost you Pierce, that menas you have a LETHAL backcourt (Ivy at the Point, and Pierce at the 2) NASTY. Granted both are advancing in years but can still score in truckloads. That backcourt can be one of the best (if it happens) for a good 3-5 years.

Nuggets locked up Nene for a about 6 years, $60 mill. Or something like that, not entirely sure.

Not sure how I feel about it, Nene's only proven two things: he's fragile and he plays soft.

Two years ago he was a hot commodity and could've landed us a star in return (Redd or even Ray Allen) -- now, not so much...

Nene is a solid player when hes healthy, but I dont know if hes worth 60 mil over 6 years...
