And if LeBron were more humble, I wouldn't give him such a hard time. But when you're supposedly the Chosen One, you should probably be able to back that up.

And if LeBron were more humble' date=' I wouldn't give him such a hard time. But when you're supposedly the Chosen One, you should probably be able to back that up.[/quote']

He has one rather silly tattoo (which isn't even visible), and he has accomplished more than almost any player in NBA history through his age. He doesn't walk around proclaiming his greatness at every opportunity, and, as you acknowledged, it is mostly the media that has turned him into the 'next Jordan'.

Posted
Facts:

1. LeBron has a tattoo on his back that reads "Chosen." He has no rings. Nuff said.

Come on now Keeper like really? If Rose had a tat like that you wouldn't say anything. Stop with the ring debate s***. He'll probably end up getting one soon.

2. LeBron led a lot of teams on last summer, when in fact he had already made up his mind to go to the Heat well before free agency started.

So why do people make a big deal that he left if he already made his mind to go the Heat?

3. LeBron's decision to air his "Decision" was a debacle. He didn't even have the courtesy to inform Dan Gilbert before it all went down.

I'll agree that doing a 1 hour show to announce where you're going is stupid BUT f*** Dan Gilbert.

4. Instead of being motivated by the challenge of winning a championship as "the man," LeBron formed "The Heatles" and piggybacked on Wade's team to pave the easiest possible road to winning. Is it all about the money? No. Does he want to win? Yes. Is he gutless? Yes, IMO. Would Magic and Bird have teamed up to win a championship? Nope, they were true competitors.

What? Leaving Cleveland doesn't make him a competitor? You're really going to compare to Bird and Magic?

5. LeBron is unoriginal. A talcum powder ritual before the game starts... Gee, where have we seen that before?

So no other player is unoriginal? I don't know my history so I have no idea who you're referring to.

6. LeBron is an asshat. You can tell a lot about someone by how he treats people "lower" than him.

I'll get back to you on this. I can't watch the video right now.

7. When LeBron realized that he had become a "villain" in the NBA, he pulled out the race card.

I'm not going to defed him on this one. If that's how he feels than so be it.

8. LeBron talks the talk, but does he walk the walk? Well, he does, if you count his crab dribble move. That's traveling, my friends.

Oh god, this reminds me of that time the NBA was all over Iverson for his crossover. Anyways, if you consider that a travel I think you need to look up what a travel is.

9. Does LeBron owe Cleveland anything? No. Was he classless for leaving the way he did? Yes.

Yawn* I think you mentioned this already. Yeah, it wasn't the best way to do it but what if he chose Cleveland. Would it still be a dick move?

10. The GOAT wouldn't have been embarrassed and swept in the Finals.Comparisons to MJ are laughable.Granted, this one isn't really LeBron's fault. But it's still obnoxious.

He's no where on Jordans level. The same can be said about Kobe. [insert 5 title argument here]

11. I never thought I'd be rooting for Kobe to win. Enter LeBron and his shenanigans.

Sigh*

I'm pretty sure Mr.Gilbert wouldn't have said that stuff if he didn't do it on National television and tell the cavs before he did that

I agree with everything Keeper said

Of course you do. You agree with everything negative about LeBron no one cares.

Do you have any family members that think the way you do so you can bring them to board? We need more people like you.

Possibly, and I don't think anyone denies that he should have informed the Cavs of his choice prior to The Decision. While this is a valid point, no one is arguing the opposite.

Haha thanks for the compliment RSFFL. I don't, but I'll try to continue to keep up my end of the bargain.

Keeper, i want you to get this through your thick skull:

I was not singling you and Ital out, but making a general statement, and the one person i did single out was suns, doing so by name.

You are not that important, i don't care about you, stop whining and starting s*** with me.

Now if you want me to say what i think actually singling you out, then i will:

You don't know Lebron James, and this is another instance of your typical whining and penis envy. Grow up, you are not twelve.

You do not know Lebron James, Lebron James does not care about you, and you have no clue about the type of person he actually is.

Let's hear it for another retarded Dipre rant. 'Cause it's not like they ever get old. If anyone is starting s*** with anyone right now, it's you with me, bub.

Says the whiner.

Maybe you don't understand English, should i say "Get off my nuts" in spanish?

Point me to the general direction where i said "Ital and Keeper are retarded for bitching about Lebron". Ital didn't take it personally, because he didn't see it as a personal attack, because it wasn't, then again, he's not a whining little bitch.

This is word for word what I said:

I wasn't singling you out' date=' RSSF. It was mostly JE, but you and Dipre were also taking shots at Ital and myself for disliking LeBron.[/quote']

And that warranted this?

Keeper' date=' i want you to get this [b']through your thick skull[/b]:

Who needs to grow up again? Overreact much, f***tard? I can't be the only one who sees some disproportion here.

Well, that was a barrel of laughs. How about we ignore each other for the time being? You annoy me. I annoy you. We get it.

So... back on topic, anybody see Blake Griffins game today? He had 47 and 14 and has basically locked up the ROY award and may be headed to the all star game. This guy is definitely the real deal.

Maybe we should reopen the NBA redraft finals with my team vs. WhiskeyBreath's. ;)

Blake Griffin will not only win ROY but he'll win the slam dunk contest too.

I just hope this years dunk contest is at least exciting or something.. last years was terrible.

I love watching Griffin play, him Durant and Wall are my three favorite players to watch that are not on the celtics. I should probably not have Wall on the list but his song by troop 41 caused me to fall in love with him, and i still believe that he will develop into a great player he just has no veteran leadership to help him develop

Agreed, last year was soooo forgettable. Griffin is a slam dunk to win it, so to speak.

And I just thought of two additional reasons why I dislike LeBron:

12. He refuses to be in a slam dunk contest, despite how much the fans (including myself) would like to see him in it. He even guaranteed he would do it a few years ago. Again, he's a pussy.

13. Anyone else remember when he tried to cover up the video of him being dunked on in high school. Tsk, tsk. Concerned about your image much?

I don't mind that LeBron went to Miami. I think he had every right to leave Cleveland. I just don't think that he should have turned where he was going into a broadcast special where he wasted people's time and played with their emotions to say "I'm taking my talents to South Beach"

You're a petty idiot.

I mean who the f*** does he think he is thinking he's so special that he deserves a f***** TV show to tell everyone where he's going. The only possible worse way he could have handled that was to host an American Idol spin off special where people texted in their vote as to where he'd play (text LeBron-1 to vote for Cleveland, LeBron-2 for NY, LeBron-3 for Miami etc)

You're a petty idiot.

I respect the fact that he willingly took less money to pursue a championship, I don't have a problem with that at all, but it was the egotistical nature and lack of class that he handled the situation and didn't give Cleveland the proper notice or decency they deserved.

Cleveland deserved notice? News to me.

And if he's going to talk s*** to Cleveland by rubbing in a loss, then stand by it. Don't be a f***** coward and try and weasel your way out of your statements. Stand by what you said.

Valid.

And in my opinion, the "Chosen One" tatoo is about as bad as when Kanye West had the picture of him looking like Jesus in that magazine.

You're a petty idiot.

All reasonable.

I certainly agree that he should have informed Cleveland of his decision prior to announcing it on National TV. I'd be interested to hear J_E's take on this, but I don't see how even the most ardent Lebron supporters could argue that not informing Cleveland didn't lack a proper amount of tact.

Why does Cleveland deserve to have advance notice? They didn't have the cap room to sign anyone of use anyway.

Given what we know about Gilbert, LeBron was probably convinced that had he given him notice that he was leaving his team, Gilbert probably would have leaked the word that Miami was the choice. Ruining the show.

As for The Decision as a whole, while parts of it were poorly handled (as you've outlined), I don't have an issue with the general idea of it. The Lebron James situation was a very unique one, and with so many people hanging on every little rumor or tidbit about where he was headed, an announcement of this sort seemed like a reasonable and logical way to inform the world of his decision.

Yay.

I don't love the Cleveland talk either, and that just fits right in with my opinion that he has a habit of saying goofy things. That stuff just doesn't bother me, but I understand how it bothers others.

In a previous post you mentioned him talking about contraction as stupid. How? It should be obvious to everyone that contraction is exactly what this league needs. The talent is spread way too thin. People have brought up that contraction would put a bunch of his fellow players out of NBA jobs, but tough s***. The truth hurts.

The tattoo thing, while also a little silly, just confirms that Lebron, like so many other people, loves himself. I don't really find that to be a big deal.

Don't worry, it's not. Keeper and ital are just anal and hate seeing people lead better lives than them.

Facts:

1. LeBron has a tattoo on his back that reads "Chosen." He has no rings. Nuff said.

He has no rings because the f***tards running the Cavs thought Mo Williams, Antawn Jamison, Daniel Gibson, an ancient Shaq, and big Z was a viable supporting cast. Or Drew Gooden, Larry Hughes, and Eric Snow back in the mid-2000s. I thought this was common knowledge.

2. LeBron led on a lot of teams last summer, when in fact he had already made up his mind to go to the Heat well before free agency started.

Had he ended up staying in Cleveland, no one would be bitching about him leading on the Heat and the Knicks. So this is crap, since it just goes right back to you being sour that he chose Miami.

3. LeBron's decision to air his "Decision" was a debacle. He didn't even have the courtesy to inform Dan Gilbert before it all went down.

So? Cleveland required no advance notice. They were f***ed if he left the franchise one way or the other, even if Amare or someone had still been on the market. Gilbert would have had that comic sans meltdown one way or the other.

4. Instead of being motivated by the challenge of winning a championship as "the man," LeBron formed "The Heatles" and piggybacked on Wade's team to pave the easiest possible road to winning.

Oh, so now having a championship as the ultimate goal is gutless. You're a clown.

And him teaming with Derrick Rose and Boozer in Chicago wouldn't be piggybacking at all, right? Despite Rose's ascension to MVP level this season (he has a reliable 3pt shot, so he'd be an even better compliment to LeBron), and Boozer having a more inside game than Bosh while putting up fairly similar numbers. Would that have been piggybacking, Chicago fan?

Is it all about the money? No. Does he want to win? Yes. Is he gutless? Yes, IMO. Would Magic and Bird have teamed up to win a championship? Nope, they were true competitors.

You know, you really shouldn't be walking around without a helmet.

How is signing with an actual proven team a sign of not being a 'true competitior'? If Magic and Bird had ever teamed up (not that they would need to, since they had actual supporting casts), their rings would be just as valid as anyone's. You're just mad because you don't think it's fair for the rest of the league. You must think that Kobe forcing Shaq and Phil out of LA in 2004 was a sign that he was a REAL competitior, right?

Everyone here knows that had LeBron gone to Chicago and teamed up with Rose and Boozer, you'd be ten times worse than all of the people you accuse of hanging from LeBron's nuts. Really, you're just a fluff-obsessed, ultra anal, very typical Joe Fan who has absolutely no idea what he's talking about (like all Joe Fans), and carries eternal grudges against basketball players whom he doesn't even know, because they either snubbed his team or he just thinks they're too happy and rich and full of themselves, since they don't have to man Burger King's drive-thru window all day, like you.

5. LeBron is unoriginal. A talcum powder ritual before the game starts... Gee, where have we seen that before?

Is this a joke?

6. LeBron is an asshat. You can tell a lot about someone by how he treats people "lower" than him.

Do the words 'Michael' and 'Jordan' ring a bell to you?

7. When LeBron realized that he had become a "villain" in the NBA, he pulled out the race card.

This is a legit whiff on his part, he obviously doesn't embrace the 'villain' role nearly as much as he said.

8. LeBron talks the talk, but does he walk the walk? Well, he does, if you count his crab dribble move. That's traveling, my friends.

You're f***ing stupid.

9. Does LeBron owe Cleveland anything? No. Was he classless for leaving the way he did? Yes.

Actually the correct answer is 'no', but go on.

10. The GOAT wouldn't have been embarrassed and swept in the Finals. Comparisons to MJ are laughable. Granted, this one isn't really LeBron's fault. But it's still obnoxious.

Wow. You are dumber than a bag of hammers.

For one thing, that was LeBron's fourth year. If you'll recall, Jordan didn't win a title until his sixth, (so he obviously wasn't really 'Air Jordan' until his sixth season). Either way, the fact that LeBron actually GOT that team to the Finals was incredible, considering the utter dogshit the Cavs had put around him and called a 'team'. Give fourth year Jordan a supporting cast of Z, Drew Gooden, Daniel Gibson, and Larry Hughes, and see how far that gets you.

11. I never thought I'd ever root for Kobe to win. Enter LeBron and his shenanigans.

OOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Lemme guess, you agree with ital that a rapist should be held in higher regard that someone who you just think to be full of himself?

I'm pretty sure Cleveland fans still would have cries like a little bitch. (See:Suns)

Of course they would. LeBron's biggest mistake in The Decision was giving all those bitchy Clevelanders (and idiots nationwide) a crutch on which to slam LeBron for his decision, by claiming that he's an attention whore for having a TV special, when everyone knows that he'd have been flamed anyway for dumping poor old Cleveland.
