The Celts are going nowhere this season. They don't have the athleticism (legs) to stay with younger more athletic players on the perimeter. With the exception of Allen and Rhondo.

Wallace is almost a complete bust. He has no ability or desire to play a low post game choosing in favor to stay outside and bomb away at 25%.

I'm glad 2007 happened. It looks like it will be another 2 decades before we see another banner in Boston.

I miss Leon Powe.

I think everyone knew when they got Garnett and Allen that the window to win a championship was probably around 3 years before the team got too old. At this point, they could get to the second round, but I don't see them advancing beyond that. Time to shake things up and make a trade.

Agreed. They may not make it to the second round!

It does not look like a meaningful trade is going to happen.

Too bad.

Rondo said they were having problems in the locker room, but then garnett came and said they weren't. Which one is true!?

Wojowsakhfdeiu or however you spell his name on Yahoo! Sports is reporting the C's have talked about a trade of Ray Allen, Scalabrine, and Giddens for Jamison and Butler. It's not imminent but there have been talks, I guess.

I would build a civilization squarely on Danny Ainge's penis if he pulls this off. Who gives a f*** about future cap ramifications when we could do this:

Rondo/House

Butler/Daniels

Pierce/Allen

Jamison/Garnett/Davis

Perkins/Wallace/Williams

I also think if a trade like this were to happen we'd end up seeing Davis switched for a point guard (like the Augustin rumor from the other day).

I'd do it. While we lose Ray's expiring, it's not like Butler and Jamison are locked up for eternity, either. Jamison's massive expiring-contract-to-be (in 3 years) could be a huge asset in the trade market when the time comes.

If Davis then got swapped for Augustin, mother f***.

I'm pumped for the ASG tonight because of my money which is on the line.

More points: Durant (+5.5) over Lebron

More rebs: Dwight (-.5) over Amare

First team to make a 3: east (-105)

So... how about that slam dunk contest? :dunno::blink::thumbdown

Worst dunk contest ever. Gerald Wallace and Shannon Brown did dunks I could see at my local high schools games while Nate Robinson and DeRozan did nothing we haven't seen before. I don't know how to fix it though, almost every dunk humanly possible has been done before.

In a breaking report, multiple sources confirm that the New York Knicks and the Boston Celtics have come to a deal that will send Nate Robinson to the Celtics.

The buzz is that Eddie House is headed to the Knicks, but the deal isn't expected to become official until Thursday. Check back for updates. Feb. 17 - 2:28 pm et

If that report is true, I'm not sure how much of an impact Robinson will have, but he brings a lot of energy. He's an exciting little dynamo. House was a great role player for the Celtics. Never saw a shot he didn't like, but he did knock down some big shots.

Nate isn't really what this team needs, what this team needs is a guy who can rebound and do that the dirty work that Leon Powe used to do. I wish the C's made some sort of run at Marcus Camby, that is who we really needed. Anyway, Robinson is basically an upgrade over Eddie House. House is a one dimensional player, and although both are streaky, Nate can drop some serious points when he is on fire. Not really the move the C's needed to make, but its an upgrade, but in the grand scheme of the things it doesn't make the C's that much better

Your analysis of Robinson and House is off a bit. House and Robinson are BOTH one-dimensional players, but Robinson can't hit threes or sink his free throws like House can, but is more explosive. I think this is much closer to a wash than you're making it out to be. The trade overall probably didn't make any significant impact. We traded one, one-dimensional player for another.

I think Wizards may have a roster that is worse then the Nets. Amazing.

At least they have Gilbert Arenas sometimes to carry the load. The Nets just flat out suck. They'll come close to winning under 10 games this year. That's how bad they are. 9-73 isn't an impossibility, or even an improbability with how bad they really are.

T-Mac!!!!!!

Still trying to find out whats goin on with this Nate deal though, is this going down or what?

T-Mac was washed up a couple years ago.

The Robinson deal has been completed.

Nate trade is pointless. I couldn't be less neutral on it. Why not try to trade for someone who will fix this whole 28th-in-the-NBA-in-rebounding thing? Good luck being that bad on the boards and going anywhere in the playoffs.

The Knicks are setting themselves up for one epic, hilarious clusterf*** of a letdown. This year's pick is going to Utah. Their next two picks are now probably going to Houston, with 2011 only being top-1 protected, 2012 top-5 protected. They won't get LeBron, Wade, or Amare. If Bosh leaves Toronto, I don't know if the Knicks are even in his top 10. Joe Johnson is the guy they have the best chance of getting, but is that really a lock? Does Atlanta, who is finally starting to look serious, really want to let Johnson and set themselves back? It's pretty much Atlanta's call, now matter how much cap room the Knicks have. If they get none of those guys, they are stuck with David Lee, Eddy Curry, Toney Douglas, and about 10 barely relevant FA signees to be, with their 2010, 2011, and likely 2012 draft picks all committed to other teams (but they'll have Houston's mid-20s 2011 pick!!1!). f***, Knicks fans will probably be jumping on the Nets bandwagon.

If Houston could guarantee health (and they can't), they'd win the 2011 championship. So all we can do is think of them as a 'maybe' with lots of potential, just like at least half of last decade's Rockets teams.

Agreed. I believe Jamison is the final piece to the championship puzzle for the Cavs. They're probably the best team in the East without him. With him, they are most certainly the best team in the East and should give the Lakers fits.

Right now, I will give the Green time. Nate may have gotten a wakeup call. Going from the Jersey Shore to the North Shore could be a good thing. I just hope that the Gahden-dwellahs didn`t give away too much.

Yes, but for the rest of the season which starting 5 would you rather have?

Nets:

PG - Devin Harris

SG - Courtney Lee

SF - Terrence Williams

PF - Yi Jianlian

C - Brook Lopez

Wizards:

PG - Foye

SG - Mike Miller

SF - Josh Howard

PF - Andray Blatche

C - Javale McGee.

Wizards might not even have Arenas back, he is suspended this season and still hasn't been sentenced. Nets at least have two all star caliber players Wizards don't.

What does everyone think of the Jamison deal?

Cavs got him for almost literally nothing. A first round pick that will be what? 30th pick in draft? And they gave up Big Z who is supposed to be bought out and RETURN to Cavs.
