You didn't need it today...but who helped you so you only needed a win to get in today? Garland and Buehrle were both on slides when you faced us and Contreras is our ace to the day. Don't give me the, we own him crap, because he is a new man. He's having fun, his family is with him, and he's got all the confidence in the world.

I'm still shocked by that, I thought all along Cleveland would sweep this series easily. Fortunately for us that was not the case.

They are young and inexperienced with the stage/pressure. I think this led to them pressing a little too hard the final week.

Cleveland played way over their heads the last two months and finally came back down to earth. It was bound to happen...they're good, but they're not as good as they were playing. Very streaky team...how come no one believes in the White Sox? We did put up the best record in the AL...

While the best record in the AL is true, I don't think it was Cleveland's talent that got in the way of them beating you. I think it was more of a pressure situation, and as a result of their youth, they didn't know how to handle the pressure. No one really believed in the White Sox because they NEARLY blew a 15 game AL Central lead. That's actually pretty hard to do, but what it comes down to now, is that it's a whole different season, and the fun begins.

 

EDIT: Just read your last post in response to mine, lol. Yeah, the truth is however, that statistically, Contreras is 2-4 with a 11.22 ERA. Contreras is a new man, you are correct, but once the Sox see a pitcher, they remember him. With respect to Contreras though, he really is the new ace of your team. His fastball is electrifying, and he's got all the extra stuff working for him. Gunna be one helluva series, good luck!!

I know the White Sox have great pitching, especially starting, but they only had the best AL record by 4 games. Plus I believe you guys have a slightly weaker division then us. Everyone in the AL East can beat each other where as you guys have KC and DET at the bottom. I would be more than happy to swap TB and BAL for those 2 teams. Then the top three I say is a scratch. NY=CHI (check reg. season records vs. each other), BOS>CLE, and MIN>TOR.
