Have the Yankees resigned Matsui yet?

 

Can't imagine them letting him go. He's reminds me so much of Paul O'Neil it's scary. He is a quality player who isn't a superstar but gets the job done every day. He's steady defensively, works hard, and it seems like every time he comes up with runners on base or in a key spot he comes through for them.

 

I respected Paul O'Neil but hated his guts when he was a Yankee. Hideki Matsui is the same way.

I agree 100%. I was saying that all winter. Of course we decide to keep Millar because of his "bat".

I think the outfield will be compltely different next year. Nixon is a free agent, Damon wants too much money, and Manny is going to the mets. I think we sign matsui, sign huff and put him in right. For center we put that lastings milliage person we get for the mets for manny, and if hes not ready sign encarnation. For infield put mueller at third, edgar at short. For second i think we get rid of pedroia and put tony g there until hanleys ready to come up when we put rentaria at second. Sign konerko for first with youk backing up. Tek will catch. For the rotaion i say we have schilling, clement, wells, wakefield, thraschel, burnett. we dont need any bullpen help except sign timlin and myers.

Trot Nixon is not a free agent until after the 2006 season ends. Thats noted in the free agent lists, besides it wouldve already been talked about now and Trot is a big staple of the Red Sox organization I dont see him wanting to move to another team or even Sox ever considering to trade him...
