No I don't believe it's Damon. His power numbers were down the last time I looked, this would not indicate involvement with steroids in 2005.. Also he doesn't fit the "future hall of famer" or "certain hall of famer" description that was previously given.

Clemens is more likely than Damon.

I think Miggy Tejada is a definte possibility and you can't overlook Brian Roberts. The Oriole & Steroid connection is so very strong and has such a long history.

So many connection to Canseco, Bonds and Oakland. Starting with Brady Anderson's 50 HR season. Albert Belle, Bobby Bonilla, Sammy Soso, Palmeiro.

Speculation is rampant, especially after the Orioles' star player Raphael Palmeiro tested positive. And the consipracy by MLB and the Oriole ownership to keep it quiet while the Orioles tried and failed to find a replacement, Phil Nevin.

There is only one Oriole who has ever been proven to have taken steroids, Palmeiro. The rest of this is highly speculative at best. Bonnila Sosa Belle also played most of their careers with other teams.

Two Yankees have confessed to having taken steroids, Giambi and Sheffield. That's 100% more than the Orioles. If any team has a "steroid connection" it is the Yankees and the San francisco giants.

When do those 2005 Orioles playoff tickets go on sale?

The fact that Palmeiro told his story to the arbitrator and was still suspended goes a long way to explaining why the orioles are a third rate team, a losers menatlity and a team of liars & cheats.

Well Alex Sanchez isn't exactly a power threat either. Anything's possible, although that would definitely be shocking.

Both guys would be a black eye to baseball.

Damon hits the "break your heart" description, everybody loves him, he's an idiot but everybody lvoes him. You definitly don't have to have huge power numbers to be on the juice. You can take it in a moderation so that it makes you stronger, enough to get through the long 162 game season. I could definitly see Damon as a juicer.

It would break the heart of Boston fans if it were Damon, but the reporter Kay who made the "break your heart" comment was a New York Yankee man all the way. So that makes me think it was a Yankee, and the break your heart list would include ARod Jeter and Mo.

1. there's nothing, it's a figment of a troll's imagination. Every now and then a new & different player will test positive. BFD

2. Have you seen Damon's wife? No Way he would take anything that could possibly inhibit his ability to bang her.

Now that's a classy thing to say.

The speculation about it is getting pretty old. Unless we've got something concrete, we should just leave it alone for now.

Yankee fans arbitrarily accusing Red Sox players, and vice versa. It won't end well.

This posted on the Yankee board!

so take this for what it's worth, but the RUMOR going around is that the ESPN studios were buzzing today with the news that Roger Clemens has tested positive for steroids, and the news will break soon

AGAIN, this is only a rumor from someone's friend who supposedly works at ESPN

ferris bueller anyone....anyone??

Once again Clemens wouldn't shock me, people aren't supposed to get BETTER as they get older, it doesn't work that way.

The only benefit of the doubt I can give him, is the National League sucks.

Watch it turn out to be nobody. This is driving me nuts. They better release the names soon.

I heard more about it, and its supposed to be rather soon. I agree BigPapi, It will prob not be anybody (like Millar ) Maybe thats why his power numbers are down  :D :o

If nothing else comes out here is another possiblity. Kay's report of two hall of famers testing positive was correct. However they WON their appeals and the case was dropped.

They could have won their appeals for a number of reasons, chief among them MLB's conflict in interest. MLB presumably doesn't want to expose their biggest stars as cheaters and steroid junkies. This is why Congress, in my opinion, should take the steroid testing out of the hands of MLB and the NFL, and impose strict, outside testing.

If it's true that players have tested positive and because of an appeal they were aloud to slide then I'm extremely pissed off. What appeal process could there possibly be? You test positive, your results are made public PERIOD. Why are players even having appeals about this? I don't even understand what you could appeal ... that the piss wasn't yours? I don't understand that at all.

Every time a hear something about baseball covering up steroid use my love for the game dies a little. If I find our that MLB is helping players hide their positive tests via the appeal court then I'm going to write daily letters to my congressman begging for them to step in and take over. Can we please get everyone involved with the front office of MLB thrown out already, and the head of the players union? I mean clearly they could careless about cleaning up the game.

clemens seems likely, becasue he is getting better as he gets older and that might be why.

that would be wild and certainly send shock waves throughout the whole baseball world.

I remember hearing a lot of people bringing up Clemens name when Canseco said that pitchers also use steroids. I actually remember Clemens being used as an example of a pitcher who might have. I really don't harbor any bad feelings towards Rocket since he screwed over the Yanks, but if it's gotta be someone I'd rather see Clemens than Schilling.

It's been a week since the alleged information came to a Yankees announcer and still no word other than an absolute denial by MLB of the allegations contained the the rumors.

No wonder McCarthy got lots of traction with the anti-communist folks 50 years ago. It's similar here. You have trolls who have personal, mental and emotional problems repeating the same garbage without any factual knowledge of wrong doing.

Troll boy, at long last, have you no shame?
