Neagle was owed about 18 million on his contract when released, the Rockies settled and Neagle got 16 million. 2 million is alot to pay for a hooker but it's way cheaper than 18 million. -

He won't be back with the Orioles, he'll probably go back to Texas or the White Sox as a DH and have an adequate year. BTW anyone else hear the Peter angelos went to Thailand recently because he likes little children a bit too much.

sounds alot envious, with samantha soso raphael palmeiroid on the DL again with mysterious injuries, faulty ear plugs and unable to find their places of employment. what happened to brian roberts, those 1st half stats seem a little juiced, maybe with soso unable to make his regular deliveries, brian has been unable to lift the bat.

There's a double standard, white's are assumed to be smart enough not to say hostile and insensitive things, when they do they are labled racist. Paternalistic, liberal whites assume Blacks are not smart enough or thoughtful to understand the consequences or ultimate meanings of their words and actions, so they are patronized.

If Cashman leaves and wants to stay on the East Coast he can have the Orioles job since Beattie is expected to fired soon. If the Nationals get new ownership before the year is out, Cashman would be a major coup although their current GM has done an amazing job. Cashman going to Tampa would give the Big Stein heartburn. Sweet Lou and Cashman beating the Yanks. If the Phillies don't make the playoffs, Cashman would be attractive.

If nothing else comes out here is another possiblity. Kay's report of two hall of famers was true,they were found to have steroids in their system. However they WON their appeals and the case was dropped. They could have won their appeals for a number of reasons, chief among them MLB's conflict in interest. MLB presumably doesn't want to expose their biggest stars as cheaters and steroid junkies. This is why Congress, in my opinion, should take the steroid testing out of the hands of MLB and the NFL, and impose strict, outside testing.

It's been a week since the alleged information came to a Yankees announcer and still no word other than an absolute denial by MLB of the allegations contained the the rumors. No wonder McCarthy got lots of traction with the anti-communist folks 50 years ago. It's similar here. You have trolls who have personal, mental and emotional problems repeating the same garbage without any factual knowledge of wrong doing. Troll boy, at long last, have you no shame?
