Tampa Bay? lmao!

I know A-rod's actual worst nightmare. It's called clutch situations.

Rodriguez, 2005

RISP- .302 AVG, .927 OPS

RISP, 2 out- .310 AVG, 1.001 OPS

Close & Late- .317 AVG, .969 OPS

I thought a yankee fans 2nd favorite saying, up until lately, was "regular season doesn't mean anything."

You didn't know that if the stats favor the Yankees, then the regular season is much more important?

Amazing, things have sure changed in New York. If I remember right, the Yankees used to not be satisfied when they were behind us. Now they are celebrating being only 1 1/2 back. Which is fine, you'll lose tomorrow and lose two of three in Texas.

Thanks Ms. Cleo.

The fact that we're 1.5 back and have played HORRIBLE is the reason I'm happy. The Yankee team is better than the way they have played, which means they should open up a lead in the 2nd half.

Really? With Tim Redding, Al Leiter, and Kevin Brown in your rotation?

Wow, I can't believe someone can be that dumb.

Yeah, that wasn't a clutch situation. Only man on second 0 out, tie game in the ninth in fenway. Not clutch at all.

What happened in Game 6 in the ALCS? What happened in Game 2 of the WS? Please shut up.

Game 2 of the WS?

Game 6 of the ALCS?

Game 2 of the 2001 WS?

Game 6 of the 2001 WS?

These games are pressure games, not some game in the middle of July. Chances are that game will be cancelled out when the teams split.

Oh and by the way, your a f***ing idiot.

Thought the past didn't matter? Thats what sox fans have been saying for years, but now all the sudden a rod s clutch this year, so lets focus on the past. Right.

WINNING A GAME IN THE MIDDLE OF JULY DOESN'T MAKE YOU A CLUTCH HITTER YOU f***ING MORON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We can say Schilling is clutch because he's done it in big games before, THAT DEFINES CLUTCH.

A big game is a playoff game or a game late in the regular season.

But lets use your terms, if Michael Jordan has a 15 pt playoff game he's no longer clutch, because the past doesn't matter?

If Robert Horry misses a three in next years NBA finals, he no longer is a big game 3 pt shooter.

But if A-Rod gets a HR off a hurt 60% Schilling that makes him clutch. I see your logic.

Yep, keep downplaying it. Yes, it's july, but that game was the biggest game yet. These games make or break the season for the yankees. A rod came up in a HUGE spot and delivered, I'm sorry but that was a big game. Not as big as a playoff game, but then again you would be splitting hairs.

david ortiz has held clutch hitter last year and already is doin it moreso than arod for 2005

LOL! Don't even think I'm comparing A rod to ortiz. It's not even close there. No comparison, but he's more clutch than you guys give him credit for. He had some big hits in the alcs against you guys. Overshadowed of course.

If A-Rod has a big hit in October I will annoit him as clutch, but until then I won't. In big spots in game 6, he had to karate chop the ball to get on base. HE IS NOT CLUTCH!

BIG HITS?!!!!!!!!! Other than a HR in Game 4, he had ZERO big hits. If slappin' balls is clutch, then yes A-Rod is clutch. He will also find he is in the company of Richard Simmons.

A clutch player is a player you'd want up at bat in the 9th inning with your team down a run, and you need that guy to drive the guy in, or he is a guy you want with a minute left in the game in football or basketball.

Robert Horry is clutch, John Elway is clutch, Derek Jeter is clutch, A-Rod however IS NOT CLUTCH.
