Ha. You guys think this sucks, wait until next spring training with the World Baseball Classic games... And how the hell is this tournament already "Classic"???

 

Q: How will the National Teams be divided in the Round 1 pools?

A:

Pool A

China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea

Pool B

Canada, Mexico, South Africa, United States

Pool C

Puerto Rico, Cuba, Panama, Netherlands

Pool D

Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Australia, Italy

 

Q: When will World Baseball Classic games take place?

A: The World Baseball Classic will take place over a 13-day period (18 days for teams in the Round 1 Asia pool). To allow time for travel, the Round 1 Asia pool will begin on Friday, March 3 with the remaining three Round 1 pools beginning play on Wednesday, March 8. Both Round 2 pools will begin play on Monday, March 13. Both Semi-Final games will be played on Saturday, March 18 and the Final will be held on Monday, March 20. (Please see the tentative tournament schedule included.)

 

Q: How many games will each team play?

A: National Teams eliminated in Round 1 will have played: 3 games

National Teams eliminated in Round 2 will have played: 6 games

National Teams eliminated in the Semi-Finals will have played: 7 games

National Teams in the Finals will have played: 8 games

I haven't watched him too much, but for the NL they said on baseball tonight he would do well. So I picked him. I have a strong feeling about Ortiz, I can't believe I am cheering for this guy lol.

I went with Andruw. But what the hell, Abreu is dominating.

 

(If there was an available Twins pitcher besides Santana to pitch to Choi, he would've easily won the contest.)

I picked Jones, but after seeing the first round Aberu has a good chance. He might be tiered, Papi is still in it, and so is Lee. So things might get interesting.

i'll say ortiz, just for the hellof it, tho abreu seems like he might own it...

 

 

and i think A-rod is reppin ghte DR in the "classic" game. thats sad considering im more dominican than him...
