Biggest letdown of the year?

Who do you guys think is the biggest letdown out of the free agents signed this year? I'd have to say carlos beltran. This guy is not worth the money he's making. I would pay him 5 mill tops.

He may not be the best of the best with the bat this season, but have you seen some of his defensive plays???

 

Beltre. I expect better numbers out of him after last year.

Agreed. Beltre is not doing what hes being paid for. Sexon is a close second.

How is Pedro on that list? The answer is Beltre though, Beltran has been playing hurt.

exactly pedro has been having an all star year and will be making the NL start alongside roger--sucks huh the great season both roger and pedro have, and their teams's shots at even a wildcard are not likely at all

I think the reason a lot of people see Beltran as a disappointment is that people have been expecting him to be as good as he was in the playoffs last year (that was, after all, what got him the money he got)... but nobody is as good as he was in the playoffs last year -- it's not even humanly possible to play that well over an extended period of time. He had been hurt, too, and he said he'd wait till he was 100% to try and steal bases.

 

I should add that I vote for Beltre.

I voted Beltre, but so far, I think Carl Pavano and Jaret Wright both deserve some consideration for this honor

Carlos Beltran. He's just not doing a whole lot for the Mets.

Keith foulk was not signed this past offseason.
