This is going to be a very interesting baseball game everyone and I'll tell you why. Don't think for a minute that tito doesn't want very much to beat tony larussa and his NL squad..Homefield advantage is at stake here as well as larussa looking for some revenge from the WS. I think it is gonna be a slaughter cause of the creame de le creame that we have in the american league. and it's al rules which I like as well. besides matt clement who else do you see on the hill for our side...I don't think it's gonna be randy...lol..

probably Roger and Willis for the NL

GO AL!!!

Johan Santana (7-3, 3.45 ERA) should take the mound as well for the AL, Mark Buehrle for the White Sox is 9-1 with a 2.48 ERA... he should easily be there. Possibly Bartolo Colon of the Angels (9-4, 2.99 ERA) could be there. Some others, Roy Halladay should definitely be there since he's posted 11 wins (4 losses) to go along with an amazing 2.51 ERA. What else.... I don't think Mussina's 8-5, 3.95 ERA will get him there, Cliff Lee of the Guardians has a shot (8-3, 3.28 ERA). There's probably someone I left off from other teams besides the Sox.

Rivera will definitely be there, he's got an excellent ERA, also Kenny Rogers. 9-3 and leads the AL with a 2.46 ERA.

Hahah, its gonna be pretty funny, for starters its just almost AL East vs. the NL. But yeah, especially since its Tito and LaRussa coaching, seeing as how both of these teams are the top contenders in their respective leagues will definitely add a little spicyness to the game.

Jon Garland (12-2 3.40 era) from the WhiteSox should also make the squad.

NL side: Willis (12-2 1.76), Clemens (6-3 1.51), Carpenter (11-4 2.77), Livan Hernandez (11-2 3.77), Pedro (8-2 2.72), and probably Peavy (7-2 2.88), plus some relievers like Cordero, Isringhausen, and Lidge.

People hype up the game too much it's a fraud with the voting anyways... did anyone else hear LaRussa wants to win because he believes... get this... The Cardinals would have won the World Series last year had they started in St. Louis instead of Boston. They didn't even lead the entire series, they were totaly dismantled I highly doubt where they played would have made a difference.

You gotta have Clement in there somewhere...

BTW - what a travesty of Justice that Derick Lee isn't leading the 1B voting in the NL. I know Pujols is great, but DAMN.

2 Starters with under 2.0 ERA... incredible.

Well you know that Lee will make the squad regardless, perhaps jumping in as designated hitter. He's been outstanding, and he'll either get in as that final man (i forget the name) or LaRussa will bring him in. But Pujols gets the benefit of the doubt, as well as having the name people know.

In all honesty, either team could come out on top in this one. If I remember correctly, Roger Clemens started last year for the NL and got shelled.... but he could very well start again this season, and as competitive as he is, he'll be out to prove something. Willis, Pedro, Peavy, Lidge, etc should round out a pretty good staff.

Clement may fall short simply because the Red Sox will already be well represented (Varitek, Ortiz, Ramirez, and probably Damon), but that doesn't mean he doesn't deserve it. The AL Staff will probably feature Buerle, Garland, Halladay, Santana... and remember the Devil Rays have to have at least one player attend too....

Should be a fun game to watch either way.

Nah. Remember like 4 years ago or something, Torre had like 7 yankees make it.

It's payback time.

Varitek, Ortiz, Ramirez, Timlin, Damon and Clement will all be there. ;)
