I don't get why you would take Wells out there. He gave up a hit to Sheff, big deal, there's one out in the inning and Sheff has half of the yankee's hits. Wells could have easily completed this game.

What a game, what a game. 'Twas nice also being at a bar not having to listen to s***** ESPN announcers.

P.S. For all who voted that he would only give up two runs: Cheers to us.

Here is where it gets interesting. The standings are:

Baltimore 30 19 .612 -

Boston 27 22 .551 3.0

New York 27 23 .540 3.5

Toronto 27 23 .540 3.5

The Sox and Baltimore are going to play a 3 game set, while the Yanks play KC. Toronto is playing the Mariners.

Then the Sox go on to Anaheim, the O's go to Detroit who just swept them, the Yanks play the Twins, and the Jays play the A's.

These standing arn't going to be the same in a weeks time.

Yeah, for all you poll-haters for not having a 5+ option...I explained I knew it, but forgot it, and then once I posted the poll, I couldn't go back and edit it. But apparently tonight, we didn't need that option. :D Go me. Maybe I should start threads from now on. We win when I start them whenever we don't expect to..

Then the Sox go on to Anaheim

You mean then Anaheim comes to Boston... because if we are going to Anaheim then it will be a four hour flight to Boston for nothing on my part. (I'm just kidding, the way you worded it was just different, so I had to say something when I read it)

Sox fan in Tex, soxie thefangirl, YanksHater213, Zenny, I salute you. But I dunno if you cheated and voted after the fact. If so, shame on you.

Would you like me to change it to 'The Sox then play Anaheim'? ;)

Yeah, we're now kind of the Oakland A's...except with talent. But I mean, if you think about it, even the guys that aren't yet hitting are drawing walks (Bellhorn for example). Also, if you think about all the pitches we seem to foul off, a lot of those AB's eventually result in walks as well.

I kept the faith. I had trust in Wells. I knew he could pitch well. if you think I cheated, well, go look at one of the first replies to this thread!

Hey, BTW, as I've said at Buffalo Wild Wings I couldn't hear the television (thank god)...what was the story on the whole Renteria and Wells jersey thing tonight?

Apparently they switched numbers or something. :dunno:

Edgar and David switched numbers. They'd been talking about it for a while - 3 was Rent's number and David had 16 a few years ago. It seems to be working. But apparently, Rent had to pay some good money for that 3.
