Miller will be making his fourth start of the season after coming off the disabled list earlier this month after recovering from a right shoulder strain. Miller has been impressive in all three of his appearances this year, and won his first game Friday against Atlanta thanks to a stellar 6 1/3 innings performance in which he allowed just one run on three hits. This will be Miller's first career appearance against Toronto.

In 11 career starts, Chacin has only allowed more than four runs on one occasion. He's been solid for Toronto. If you exclude one two-inning stint in a game delayed by rain, he's thrown at least five innings in every one of his starts. He's never pitched against Boston before.

Anyone who can look that stupid in their mlb.com photo can't possibly beat us. We're due, and we're going to win. You heard it here first. (Well, second, but same thing)

i turned on the game a few minutes ago. all i have to say is that we are going no where with this team

(Oh yes, I just did it. For those who dont know, I said this same thing last year, in the game vs the Yankees where A-Rod and Tek fought and Mueller spanked that one off Riviera... oh yes, this is the jumpstart we need)

I am by no means an optimist, but I do believe this. In NY, I call 2 outa 3. The offense is waaaay overdue. Something has to (and usually does) give...

I agree 2 out of 3, with the game we lose being on Sunday. Wakefield dominates the Yankees and RJ hasn't been his usual self. Clement has been dominating everybody lately so I expect good things from him. Wells and Mussina looks to be the mismatch however with both players going on the opposite sides of the spectrum.

I try to keep hope high with this team, and when we were down 6-0 and up to bat with 1 out and the bases loaded we really had a chance to make a game out of it. I don't remember the inning, but I assume Blowhorn was up at bat and grounded into the DP. Tonight's game was bad, tomorrow BETTER be better than it was today or people are going to start calling for heads.

Whose head would you call for? It's an all-around lack of production from the team. You can't blame the manager or any one specific player 9with the exception of maybe Wells Renteria and Bellhorn). Things will click soon, they have to.

4th Place... wonderful

and we got to travel to the hottest team in town and our own personal house of pain... this is going to be a LONG weekend... I give you the 2005 Boston Red Sox...

Also note that after we get beat around by the Spankees, we then have to host the Orioles for 4 where we will probably drop to .500 or lower... if we don't catch fire soon, this season could get ugly.

I am actually not worried. We have been in a slump for awhile now. Perhaps some changes this weekend are gunna bring fire to this team. After all, if we are saving power for the Yankees...then by God let it come out this weekend.

I honestly dont f***ing know. I know that we are playing like s*** right now, and cant buy a win. We have got 7 games in a row against the Yanks and Os, and the way we are playing we will lose all of them. At the same time, I've got the feeling that we will be able to sweep them both, because there is no way we play this bad and we just bust out big time. It could get very ugly, while at the same time, by next Friday we could be in first place. If we sweep, and Baltimore loses one or two games this weekend, we will be 3 or 4 games back. Then if we sweep them, we can have first. So pretty much we will either be in a really good or really bad position this time next week.
