Manny's Batting Average

I know Manny is Manny, but does he seem a little too relaxed this year??? I know he's up there in homeruns and RBI's but he doesn't seem like the typical Manny. He usually hits for average as well as power. Maybe I'm reading into this too much because I'm relying on him for my fantasy team. Has anyone else noticed this?

Yes, but it's too early to jump on him. Let's remember, he's probably having a tough time getting comfortable in the batter's box, as he's a magnet for bean balls. I wouldn't be too worried, once he gets something to hit, he should be fine.

 

But what WOULD help is if he did swing the bat a tad more.

Manny goes through funks, and its happened before. He just loses motivation, but when he snaps out of it he snaps out of it big time. A funk of his has never lasted this long, but he's due, and we all know it.

I agree with sizzlin22, if we can cut slack for renteria and bellhorn, why cant we be patient with manny....

Manny shouldnt be worried about at all. Yeah, his average is down, but his homeruns and RBIs are still right there with the rest of the MLB. I wouldnt doubt the fact that all the times hes been hit has somethign to do with his average, and confidence standing as close to the plate as he does.
