I don't care who is pitching, this should be a sweep.

Let's hope they actually get to play. If not, double header tomorrow.
Ok, I can live with a rainout (and watch the celtics), if I can have a doubleheader tomorrow. I love doubleheaders!

Great game thread...yeszir, if you could add a little help and change the title of the thread from 'May 6th' to 'May 7th'

I didn't even notice that. Done. :)

double headers are great and with the Celtics game tonight I wouldn't mind it. It kind of sucks though for people that have to go to a game on Mother's Day if its cancelled. Im sure some people specifically avoided the Sunday game to be with their family

A double header it is.

BOSTON, MA -- Tonight's Red Sox-Mariners game at Fenway Park has been postponed due to rain and the forecast for continued steady rain, high winds and cold temperatures throughout the afternoon and into the evening. Red Sox weather adviser Meteorlogix confirmed the forecast for a "Nor'easter" that would dampen the Boston area into the early morning hours of Sunday.

The clubs will play a doubleheader tomorrow (Sunday, May 8). Fans holding tickets for tonight's game may use them for game one of tomorrow's doubleheader, which will begin at noon. Gates will open at 10 a.m.

Fans holding tickets for tomorrow's regularly scheduled game may use them for game two of the doubleheader, which begins at the new starting time of 5 p.m. Gates for that game will open 45 minutes after the conclusion of game one.

"While no forecast is 100 percent dependable, the probability of not only wet, but also windy and bitterly cold weather for tonight, made it prudent to postpone the game prior to opening the gates as a convenience to our fans, many of whom travel from great distances," said Red Sox Vice President Joe McDermott.

its so stupid to have the games at 12 and 5 because if the first one runs late they wont be able to clear out the park and get it ready for the second game in time. It should be a day/night double header but they cant because of ESPN's exclusive rights to the Sunday night broadcast. No other games can be played then I believe

PPD till a later time I guess.

Don't worry about the Yankee winning streak, I believe Rich Harden pitches tommorow. Now if the A's could ever score any f***ing runs, they'd be alright. But my guess, and this the exact opposite of what I just said, is the Yankees win tommorow 3-1, because the A's offense sucks, and the way Kendall and Chavez are hitting, Brown will be able to get out of any trouble in the 1st inning. I hope i'm wrong though.

That would be an awesome Mother's Day present.

Oh suck it. I don't get the Celtics game so it's up to you guys to post game updates. Do it, dammit. GA sucks.

It hasn't started yet. Consider this your first update. :)

TNT down here says they'll have NBA Pregame from 7-8 then "First Round Coverage" so I think I'm out of the Celtics broadcast. Ahhh. I'll just watch the Braves instead. I may even start a thread considering the Sox are off tonight. Any non-Celts fans can watch on TBS I guess.

It is 35-32 Pacers at the half. The refs are terrible, again. Theyve missed two hard foul calls against the Pacers so far, and it is at the point where the reffing is just terrible and inconsistent.
