everyone keeps talking about Dustin. but look at how great minor leaguers (Kelly) are awful when they get here. everyone needs to chill out and give Bellhorn more time. he's quietly raising his average.

thank you

Soxie and BL, sorry, but that doesn't make any sense. Dustin is way ahead of Shopp in terms of prospect status. Plus, you can't judge someone on 6 AB's. Way too small of a sample size.

As I've said before, I was a huge Bellhorn apologist in the past, but we have a superior option coming soon. Bellhorn's a nice player when he's hitting for some power as well, but when he's not hitting for extra bases, he's below average.

I love him. I really like his attitude towards the game. He's not the best player out there but he's so sincere and besides that, he comes through in a clutch a lot of the time. Any fans?

I totally agree. Bellhorn is in my top 3.

I don't hate Blowhorn as much as I do Embree, so we will switch them. I have some respect for Millar because I know at times he can get real hot and be consistent for a long time, then die out. But with Blowhorn...who the f*** knows what he's going to do.

Q: If you had one bullet who would you put out of their misery (hypothetically of course) ???

(note the correct use of their)

A; Bellhorn and embree tie them together

Well I wouldn't go that far, but I don't want them on my team. Embree would be easier to replace than Bellhorn, so I'm more pissed off at Embree. g

let me ask you guys a question. Is there (proper use of there) a rule in baseball that you need to bring a bat with you when you come to the plate.

Bellhorn either strikes out or walks, only four k's today--so he's back on pace. I'm looking for 200 K's this seaon!

but he either walks or whiffs, whats the bat for?

Bellhorn is 38th to Millar (39), and Embree (40)

Millar is starting to torch up and if he goes as he has the lastr couple of years this could be one of those insane 2-3 week hot streaks he goes on where he can hit anything I wouldn't put Millar in with Embree and Bellhorn.

One game isnt torching. But if he can put a couple of games together that would indeed separate him from the inpetiutde of stink bombs like bellhorn and embree.

I wish I could say things like "he gettting back to that this season" the day after a guy strikes out four times in one game--ruins a number of rallies, leaves countless men on base, and doesnt have a good game defensively. If you meant he was amazingly bad last year and that striking out four times reminds you of that, I agree.

But I think you mean something else. OKay--I am going to give this delusional thing a try maybe it will help my blood pressure--

alan embree--1/3 of an innning and 4 runs...hey guys stop picking on alan at least he got one out!!

Ok you're right maybe I shouldn't have said torching but knowing Millar and the way he hits when he starts to put together games like he has the past two or three normally its a safe bet that he'll continue to hit insanely for another two weeks or so. He is the streakiest player in baseball.

according to Tek and Don and Jerry, Bellhorn came through just when he was needed today. it's amazing that people will never give him any credit.

That's why I hate him. He doesn't do anything for you until you're in a heart-attack situation and then he comes through. It's like...he never does anything for us...why couldn't someone else have...

I hate to be the voice of doom , but before the celebration for mark's Sac fly turns into a ticker tape parade.I should mention that over the last two games he is on an 0 for 7 clip with 5 or 6 strikeouts.

Before we start thinking he is babe bellhorn, it might be nice if actually could muster a hit now and again. And God forbid that he hits a home run some day soon..

I heard he got a boo-boo on his arm, when he hijacked nixon on a play in right...

It is possible his fearsome lumber might be rendered out of commission tonight.

If Dustin Pedroia is ready next season, he should be the 2B. If he's not ready, then Bellhorn should stay for one more year. Personally, I think he'll be ready and Bellhorn will be shown the door.
