... but only when Kentucky Fried f***head is in there. If it's Johnny O, I don't mind.

By the way, to all you Millar apologists, check out the home/road splits for KFK since he joined the Sox. The only thing that guy can hit is the broad side of a barn. More specifically, the broad side of the Monster. If that thing wasn't 250 feet away for him to scrape some singles off of it, he would suck worse than he does now.

For Christ's Sake, Kevin, GO WITH A PITCH! You don't have to pull low and away curveballs for easy tappers to the left side!

I asm sorry to say bellhorn is really awful..

He's killed more rallies than millar and thats saying something. Together they combine to be the worst hitting 1B-2B combo in the majors and that's really saying something.

I for one am sick and tired of this free pass mentality you guys seem to have for anyone who played on the team last year-if that isnt a recipe for complaceny and disaster I dont know what is.

It's really pitiful. I dont care what they did in the past-this year is this year, and millar for example, sucks..he cant field and he cant hit--but he played on the 2004 and thus he should play. ********.

Look at this way soxie if they he get rid of bellhorn(wishful thinking) he'll have more time for you.

I cant let this rant go away with mentioning the other stiff-alan embree--I dont care if he won the cy young in 2004 he is awful and should basically be put to sleep-who would care?

f***ing bellhorn just grounded into another double play, ruining a rally in the game against the O's

this guy has broken up more rallies than the montgomery alabama police dpartment.

I'm sorry soxie, but bellhorn really is a serious anemic batter...

I like him to. I call him Clutch Bellhorn. He does strike alot though, I doubt he will be with the time next year. I think out of the whole infield, maybe only Mueller and Millar will be staying... maybe Edgar.

ROFL!!!

I agree, Bellhorn blows, but i like him for some odd reason that i don't know of.

he's also hit safely in 9 of his last 10. and was RedSox.com's player to watch. and started the 9th inning off well after Johnny popped up. and how can you say his defense sucks? he turns the DP like no one.

Edgar is not going anywhere he's under contract for the next four years.

First I will always have respect for Bellhorn since that big homer against the Yanks in last year's ALCS.

Second I am a bit of a Bellhorn fan, although he irks me everytime he strikeouts looking with guys on.

Third, let's not forget Adam Dunn K'ed more than Mark last year and I think anyone would argue Dunn is a better hitter. So although he K's a lot Bellhorn does do a decent job and isn't the worst fielding second baseman.

Fourth, I too am looking forward to Dustin Pedroia. I'm very optimistic about this kid and think he can finally be a permanent solution at second base.

Fifth and finally, whenever you get pissed at Bellhorn remember this one thing, it used to be Jose Offerman. No matter how bad Bellhorn plays, he's a big upgrade from Jose.

Aint it the truth. When I think back on those years, I can't help but shudder. Oy.....Jose Offerman.

everyone keeps talking about Dustin. but look at how great minor leaguers (Kelly) are awful when they get here. everyone needs to chill out and give Bellhorn more time. he's quietly raising his average.

I don't think Shoppach is on the same level as Pedroia, plus 6 or so at bats isn't enough to judge someone.

his career high is .260. everyone knows this I don't see why everyone's freaking out on him and belitting the .250. and let's quickly forget what he did for everyone last year. at the moment he's even batting better than Manny, who the low numbers are NOT expected of.

Yeah but it's because no ones WORRIED about Manny. Just because of last year doesn't mean my opinion on him changes. Yes, I was happy, but I don't recall him doing ANYTHING to get us to the post season. Anyone can come through at clutch times...he just does it more than others. That's how I look at it at least. I'm happy when he does, I still don't expect a lot out of him because I know 90% of the time he'll fail.

Also, about Adam Dunn...no one cares as much because he goes down swinging, and usually when he hits the ball, it's not a measly ground out or a double play. It's a good solid hit every time. Not to mention all the HRs he hits. Bellhorn doesn't always get a good, solid hit or a HR when he hits the ball. He does, but doesn't do it nearly as much as Dunn does. And also, Bellhorn goes down looking like all the time anyway. At least Dunn swings.
