Apparently, the Yankees and Dbacks had a deal in place with AZ getting Vazquez, Halsey, Melky Cabrera, and Abel Gomez. The cash was the only obstacle, and then the Dodgers came in to offer their players in a 3 team trade. Now it looks like the 2 teams will go back to that earlier deal, except NYY don't want to pay 19.5 million (difference between Javy and Randy's contracts) . Cash will not hold this deal up, and a middle point, I think will be found and this deal will get done.

I'm no Jets fan, but just now watching Jonathan Vilma sack Brady was so.... beautiful

Yes, Tom Brady is a Yankee fan. In the past, he would wear a Red Sox hat occasionally because he "had to" (he was wearing Yankee hats when he first came to the Patriots, he stopped the practice when a reporter informed him it wasn't kosher). It was kind of a joke to him. Ever since the Red Sox knocked the Yankees out of the playoffs, he hasn't been spotted with a Red Sox hat once. I'd say it's not a joke anymore to him, and it really hit a nerve after this year's ALCS. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for him to be spotted with a Red Sox hat on again, either, unless the Red Sox corner the market on metrosexual/hunter caps.

Thats an amusing name you have. And soxfan#1, you've never heard anyone say

"Who'da thunk it?"

I don't care who Brady likes. He's a football player for the Patriots. He's a New England Icon. One of the highest W/L% in the history of football, 2 Super Bowl MVP's in 3 years and 6-0 in the playoffs.

Peyton Manning Rules :D

Once he starts facing big pressure situations, Manning starts choking more than a girl trying to deepthroat for the first time. Remember the AFC championship last year? Yeah. He can run up all the TD's he wants against the crappy AFC teams, but we'll see how it goes once the playoffs roll around and he has to face some decent defenses.

HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHA

but anyway, I wouldn't say he did it against crappy AFC teams, he faced the AFC which is the best conference in a while. Plus he faced the Pats and Ravens defense.

Against the Pats he got 1 TD pass, if even that, I remember it was all Edgerrin James that game...Ravens defense, lets just say we scored 24 points against them, and not worry about the damage the Colts possibly did to them. I want to see the Colts get their asses kicked by the Steelers so bad, but of course, that won't happen unless they beat the Broncos and then us I think.

The way I see it, Theo might just be trying to drive the Yankees up in price. If they spend more money on Big Unit, they can't make a serious play for Beltran. Johnson is going to the Yankees, Beltran is probably going to the Mets. The Unit is no serious bet, he's getting older everyday.
