Well we all knew that this was gonna be the year right? O yes that's before the Nomar's bitchy attitude and Pedro's sub par year. Also before we knew that Manny and Ortiz would be a terrible run producing team in the post season. After considering all this I have but one question...Why can't we still win win? :D

(O and the Yankees still blow)

Cuz your still worse worse ;)

Really, the Yankees have been getting outstanding pitching from their starters. Everybody has been sleeping on their starters (they need Clemens, Pettitte and Wells!!!) but Moose, Lieber and Brown have been amazing so far this playoffs. Schilling's injury was killer for the Sox, it has kind of set the tone for the series. Also, Mariano Rivera continues to prove why he's the AL MVP. Without Rivera, it is quite possible the Sox would be up 2-0. The Red Sox came into this series as the favorites in Vegas, and now are staring an 0-2 hole in the face, with Kevin Brown opposing them. They're gonna need a hell of a game Friday night.

Yeah sure Rivera for MVP and lets give an oscar to Kevin BRown for fighting agaist a wall and losing. We will still prevail because it's our year and the Yankees me Wankees just suck.

I like the chances with Broken hand Brown and....well I guess we don't know who the game four starter will be. The Bronx and Fenway are two different places, and the way Arroyo has been pitching, combined with the way Wake handles the Yankees. I see a 2-2 tie in the future.Call me crazy, but stranger things have happened(down 0-2, last years ALDS, had to beat Oakland pitching)

Ah, RedSoxFan4Ever, you are the quintisential sox fan. Typical. You have to go back to the Yanks Suck thing. Can't just talk baseball and be intelligent. You lose 2 in a row with your best pitchers throwing and still the Yanks suck. Your offense manages 1 hit in the combined first 6 innings of both games and still the Yanks Suck. I dig talking baseball with Sox fans because of the connection between the two teams, but fans like you are the best. Since you brought out the worst in me on this one here's a quote from Dan Wetzel of Yahoo about the Sox Yanks rivalry:

"Logically there can be no rivalry between a hammer and a nail." Great game 2, lookin forward to game 3.

you sure are ignorant. mo is such an amazing closer. i would take him over foulke any day, any game, any where, any count, any score and any weather.

as for saying yankees suck and talking smack to the yankee fans. seriously guys. until we actually beat them in a meaningful series (ie playoffs) we shouldn't be talking smack. i know i don't, not until the game is over at least and it has to be legit.

lets be real now. our 2 BEST starters, the guys who were supposed to win it all for us have been gunned down. schill is most likely lost for the season, if he pitches again this lcs it's going to jeopordise his career. it's not looking good for us at all. i admit that i believe we CAN pull it off, but i'll also be the first to admit that it could possibly be all over. our best case scenario is that fridays game is rained out. pushing everything back one day. pedro gets that extra day rest and comes back game 5 with us winning games 3 (i have us slated to win this cus of bronson) and game 4 (gem by wakefield needed). if we take the 3 at fenway we go back to yankee stadium up 3-2. it gives us 2 chances to take 1 game. hopefully there is some other sort of rain out game 6 and bronson gets the extra days rest for game 7. i sure don't mind having this kid on the mound for game 7.

I think you better start hoping for a act of GOD or something and not rainouts. Oh, I forgot GOD is a Yankees Fan! I also forgot to add that I am a complete tool and everyone hates me where I live, so sometimes I come on to Red Sox message boards and attempt to make fun of the best and most knowledgeable fans in the game. I also have a bizarre fetish for midget sex.

i have to agree with ahhchon on so many things here, i might actually not-knowingly quote him.

rivera is an OUTSTANDING closer, and i agree that id take him over foulke anyday. not to mention i have A TON of respect for him. although i think saying hes an mvp is stretching it, i dont believe MVP awards are for closers.

its time for bandwagoning yankee fans like paulus who dont post anything of interest or benefit other than red sox suck to SHUT THE f*** UP.

guys, its not looking good, in all honesty, the yankees are looking better so far. they gunned down schilling, ankle or not, the man is still schilling, and they shelled him. their pitching which never looked too good in the season have pitched gems. their closer has saved them everytime. we simply cant get anything started against these guys. ill be the second (after ahhchon) to admit that im willing to accept a yankees win in this series. if this type of play continues, the yankees are going to sweep us. theres no excuse for whats been happening, no curse talk, nothing. so far, we just dont have what it takes to beat the yankees. i believe we can win 3 at home, and thats what im hoping for, but i wont be surprised to soon be looking at a 3-0 hole needing to win 4 straight to simply stay alive.

sadly, once again, the yankees look like theyre going to be the AL representative in the world series...

but im NOT giving up hope.

Then why does Jesus play center for the Sox?
