I've only been to two at fenway, but I went to see a game in Miller Park last year on the 7th of June. The Red Sox were down 10-4 and game all the way back. Millar hit a grand slam in the 7th. Nixon and Varitek went back to back in the top of the ninth, and Nixon caught a fly ball on the warning track for the last out of the game.

Empire, we aren't retarded. I can check IPs, and FROM THIS VERY PAGE I can see that this is you. I said you walked a thin line when I allowed you to come back, and you have just crossed over. No more fights only, no more talksox. Please find somewhere else to troll. Have a nice day.

Lol, we've been linked at a yankee site by some former (now banned) members. It seems like yankee fans have been invited to spam this forum. Yippee! Lol.

I went over there because it worked. I got the guy to delete the link and they seemed to calm down. No more spammers coming over here!

This guy wasn't empire probably, I'm now highly doubting that he would post something like this after he was exiled to the fights forum. He seemed to be fine right after he was banned. These guys are losers from that yankees board.

I've only had seets to one game. It was at the Skydome for the Blue Jays. We got this huge room that overlooked the ballpark ^^ It was aweeessommmmeeeeee. I watched one game from that room, and yelled down to Manny several times ;D Even though he never heard me... we were pretty high up. That was the game Doug Marribelli (sp?) hit 2 homers. The game I went to was like 3-3 in the 10th inning then the Blue Jays hit a grand slam off Curt =(

Were you in the stadium, or in that hotel in the skydome?

Having taken in well over 100 games in my lifetime, the particulars tend to blur together. Other than the newly installed seats under new ownership, I have stood or sat all over the ballpark. But one game stands out more than any other. It was on September 2, 1967. There were no memorable records set that day. In fact, the Red Sox didn't even win the game. But for a kid growing up in a small community in the western end of the state, it was a date in time that remains as fresh in my mind today as it did all those years ago. For this was my first visit to Fenway Park !

I remember the excitement building all week. I scrambled to find somebody to deliver my paper route on that Saturday. My older brother and I went with friends of my parents. Walking up to the Park, the smell of cigars and roasted peanuts was in the air. There were vendors selling hot dogs, hats, and pennants. I just had to have a Fenway Frank with mustard. I told the ticket taker this was my first visit, and smiling as he tore my ticket in half, he handed me my stub and patted me on the head. Armed with a program and pencil, and my Gus O'Toole little league glove, I was coming out of my skin I was so excited.

The walk up to Section 19 under the screen and just to the right of home plate was forever imprinted in my mind. Having black and white television, I was amazed at the sight of the Green Monster stretching into the sky. The field was a beautiful green, and looked so much smaller in person. The home whites were resplendent in the blazing sun. The White Sox were the opponent that day. I remember two guys walking the main aisle with a banner proclaiming Eddie Stankie the best manager in baseball to a chorus of boos. His Sox beat my Sox 4-1, giving Jim Lonborg one of his few defeats from that finest of seasons. Reggie Smith hit a triple in the center field triangle; the ball bouncing around that big gate long enough for him to get to 3rd, and eventually score the only Red Sox run of the day.

The visitors half of the 8th provided one last memory. With the game looking grim, a fan jumped on the field just to the left of the Red Sox dugout. He ran out to Rico at short to shake his hand. He continued on to Yaz in left, then out to Reggie in center, and was headed to right to greet the Hawk when an army of groundskeepers headed him off. He quickly tried to scale the center field wall where the bullpen ends, but couldn't reach the outstretched hands waiting to assist him. With the army closing in, he raced all the way back across the outfield and hurtled the low wall beyond 3rd base. A standing O quickly turned to a downpour of boos when the police swarmed him and escorted him out.

I've been to many a ballgame, and watched too many seasons slip away. There will come a time when I no longer have the energy to make the trip to Boston. But I'll never forget my first time, and the joy it gave me. That 10 year old boy still tugs at my memory every time I tune in to the game. And if I live long enough, that same 10 year old will explode with excitement the day the Red Sox win the World Series. Anyone who says that you can't go home again wasn't a life long Red Sox fan. Because for this fan, every game is set with that day as a backdrop, when I saw my first game, and all was right with the world.

Can't really follow that Jethro post, but I remember every game I've ever seen at Fenway.

My first, the Red Sox beat Detroit (don't remember the score) because of a Cecil Fielder error. Luis Rivera (who my dad hated at the time) caught the final out. We were sitting on the right field line quite a few rows back, and had a great view of Tom Brunansky in right field, but not too much else.

That was most memerable, as it was my first.

Ok I have to have two since I can't really put one over the other. 1. Last Night with Cabrera I was sitting on the Moster I got a BP ball I was with my family it was just perfect nothing could go wrong it was great. 2. The game against the Yankees that Empire was at Ironically enough I saw him and was sitting 2 seats away from the guy who threw the beer at him :) It was a memorable game everyone thought we were going to lose untill Tek and Damon went Back to Back to put us ahed and it was all downhill from there.
