Halama is a solid pitcher, nothing special.

 

In 5 starts in July, he had 28 IP, allowed 18 ER ... but 9 of them in one terrible start.

 

Pitched 8.0 shut out innings on July 16, allowing 3 hits and no walks to go along with 3 K's against Baltimore. Impressive. Followed that up with a 3.2 IP, 9 ER performance. Not so impressive ...

Damn! Rocco Baldelli had such an accurate throw, typically Roberts would have scored but what can you say. That was a hell of a throw.

 

At least we won a road series.

Someone help me out here. I'm "watching" this game play-by-play on the Net, so I can't always see what's going on. It's top 9th, 0 out, guys at the corners and Mueller up. Next time I hit refresh, there are two outs, none scored, guys still at the corners (but different guys), and Damon up. Then it's game over. What happened?

Baldelli made a really good throw. That's how the story of the game goes, we were over zealous. If nothing else it should have been tied on that ground ball that followed.
