Ortiz might be the most underrated player on the planet right now. No All-Star Ballot, no MVP consideration, yet he's an absolute beast.

I saw that PTI too and I was ripshit. I- Rod? Sure he's good and has helped the Tiger's, but I'd argue Varitek is better than him. As far as Vlad goes, he is a good choice, but if you take away that one night he had against us he is nowhere near Ortiz in the RBI column. Ortiz can possibly hit the 120 RBI mark with 30 homers to boot. He is again a league leader in doubles and extra base hits, and is undoubtedly the clutchest player in the MLB. I think the managers will be smart enough to put him in the All- Star game, and maybe with that recognition the rest of the league will recognize the game's best clutch hitter.

Varitek is not better than Pudge. Look at the stats. Varitek has been nothing special this year.
