As much as Ty Law has contributed to the Pats over the past few years (especially their two Super Bowl seasons), he's shown himself to be like many other professional athletes - greedy and snobby little jerkoffs. And besides that, he can't even keep his story straight. First he says that it's not about the money. Then he says he shouldn't take a $500 thousand dollar cut on a new deal, and should be receiving a contract similar to Champ Bailey's. I don't know about you guys, but I think if I were in that situation I'd be f***ing greatful to be making that kind of money and to be on that kind of team.

I say we trade him if he doesn't shut the hell up.

I think ty law has a legitimate argument. Poole and harrison have long term deals why doesnt he deserve one?

I thought Ty's argument was that he couldn't afford food otherwise....

No matter how you look at it, it's unfortunate. Law is one of the better players the Patriots have had and it's too bad it has to end like this. I don't see what the huge difference of $17M to 15.6M is? It's certainly enough to eat.

I have actually meet Ty Law. I have to admit he is a pretty cool guy, but keep this in mind when he complains about not getting enough money. He owned a Dodge Pick-Up truck into which he dumped a small fortune worth of stereo equipment, rims, tires, etc. He also did this to a $130,000+ BMW 760. He also owns a Lincoln Navigator, same deal with that. He has just recently purchased a brand new Ford Pick-Up. In addition to all this, he owns a Lamborgini Murcialgo which sells for about $320,000. Now those are just are his cars...I am not familiar with his house but I've heard its very, very nice. DO you still think he needs more money "to eat" as he calls it?

True story; the day I meet him he spit a sweet tart out of his mouth (by accident) which landed on my shirt. I looked down at it, brushed it away, and proceeded to shake his hand. I later picked up the sweet tart and sold it on EBay for $800.00.

Are you serious? I mean, how can you prove it's authentic? That's what fascinates me about ebay. The crap people bid on. But congrats to you man, who'd a thunk being spit on would get you a handful of money.

Someone tried selling Randy Johnson's saliva on eBay once...

It's interesting how he said that the Pats were unwilling to negotiate. When he asked for a 7 year deal (he is 30, no one in their right minds would do that) we offered 4. Then he asked for 5 or 6, and we said no. That's negotiating. Just because he asked something unreasonable, and we didn't give it to him doesn't mean we're liars.

As fourzerosix said way up at the top, I'm already over it, and the Pats will be fine without him next year.

I'd have no problem giving Ty a long-term deal, except for a couple things:

1. He's old. Like, old enough that I wouldn't take him in Madden old.

2. He wants a lot of money. As much money as Champ Bailey. Except that Bailey is younger and better.

3. He's going after Belicheck personally. That's one thing I won't tolerate. In Bill We Trust.
