I've never seen anything like that and probably not even close.  Pitches that should be automatic balls became HRs.  Still, he knew he had to go with the pitch.  I use to watch guys like Chavis step in the bucket trying to pull pitches three inches outside.

Yes, thats called "hooking around the baseball" when you pull an outside pitch, and its a lazy fly to center at best.
