  1. Gotcha! That’s a good reason and I wasn’t aware of his past arm issues. I was hoping it wasn’t another analytics nonsense. Ok, I’m good. Thanks
  2. I was at work and will watch the game today but why in Gods name did Tracy take Bennett out after 74 pitches 4 hits 0 runs and 9 ks?? Kid could have had a couple more ips? I hope to God Tracy is not one of these absolute idiots that just take guys out after 80 pitches cause it’s the third time through the line lineup and the analytics suggest it.. Cause I’ll just stop watching this team altogether. we all know that even Theo has mentioned how Breslow relies too much on analytics.
  3. The whole situation with Bregman and Devers from start to finish was a mess, and then not resigning Bregman. If they really wanted him like they said they did, then they would have given him a NTC. That’s how they kicked the pooch. I was speaking from their perspective of really wanting him in Boston. to me, I didn’t think the deal would age well. I wanted Alonso, safer bet..
  4. Jordan was in AAA and had nothing left to really do there. He wasn’t a top guy, but capable of doing the job. Also gives him a shot that I thought he had earned. You got s*** back for him. Bad trade IMO..
  5. He was ready and we had nobody because they kicked the pooch on Bregman. Not that I’m upset AB is not here. Jordan is probably not an all star but he was capable of playing both corners. Really, my whole point on a lot of Breslows trades are timing and trading Players with no real replacement. When he traded Harrison he just traded like 3 depth guys, and then they traded two more starting depth guys for a Punch and Judy middle infielder playing out of position. Albeit he’s plying a solid 3b, his natural and best spot is 2b, which we also needed to a lesser extent. That’s 5 starters. Kinda dumb. do you trust Breslow to make the right moves at the deadline? I don’t. Even Theo has come out against how breslow relies too much on analytics to make decisions.
  6. Jordan only made sense to trade if you were going to resign Bregman. We had nothing besides Jordan who ready for his shot. Breslows trades can make sense on one level but be a complete head scratcher on another. He traded a lot our pitching depth before the Harrison deal, which we wouldnt have had to make if Jordan was there.
  7. Two starters and another player was too much regardless. I saw him as a 700-750ops when he straightens out. Nice hitter with little power who wasn’t worth the return.
  8. He always looked like a scared deer in the headlights. I was shocked when Breslow gave him 60m. Smart kid for instantly taking it. The book on him was holes in that swing that mlb starters would expose and that he didn’t have a true position because his defense was bad. Giving a kid like him a deal with very little time in MLB shows breslows inexperience. And honestly, this goes for Anthony too, but to a lesser degree.
  9. I agree that Harrison Drohan and another was too much for a slap hitter middle infielder. We didn’t give Harrison, or Blaze Jordan for that matter, a shot. Both were positions of need and both players had good upside that deserved a shot. what I’m afraid of is Breslow screwing up the deadline deals like Bloom standing pat in 22 and 23. With Gray, Chapman, Duran, Contreras, and a couple more to a lesser extent, we could bring back some good near MLB, or MLB ready players.
  10. No, but that’s what we got. John Henry has all but ruined this team with his firing every GM or POBO every three years since Theo, so now he has an inexperienced asst GM trying to do a job he has zero business doing. Henry has zero loyalty, zero respect and zero drive to win a ring anymore. It’s only about profit for him now.
  11. The inexperienced and in over his head Breslow relied way too much on one and two year guys. And he gave over a couple hundred million dollars to two rookies who should NOT have received anything yet. Campbell more so than Anthony.
  12. Totally get that POV with Harrison. Personally though, I’m just a tougher sell on our starters, whether depth guys or not. Especially since watching this team in desperate need of them recently. But yeah, I understand the other side.
  13. Preister and Drohan for depth because it was needed and Harrison, who was better, was def worth giving more time in MLB imo. I like a lot of pitching because it seems you need to go to a 9 or 10 on the depth chart like we have had to. and no hindsight. I questioned these moves at the time, not just now.
  14. It’s absolutely useless. Just another example of MLB having to tinker with everything. Worst to best.
  15. I get it, but like I said, anything but another middle IF if you trade him. Maybe another arm, starter or BP. We didn’t need another guy like him.
  16. I mean, I wasn’t all bent over Drohan going, but just the fact it was two starters for a Punch and Judy middle IF. Granted the ROTY stuff, but still. Slap hitter middle IF they moved to 3b. He’s not a true 3b. He got rid of Blaze Jordan as he was hitting good and we needed corner IFers. It seems his timing for trading guys is weird. Not that Jordan was highly touted, but he was doing good and we had a need. Why not see what we got before moving him? now he seems to be rolling along nicely in St.L The starters he traded were needed depth at the time, who turned into solid starters for someone else. We didn’t get much back it seems. im not a fan of Breslow. But that’s what this owner gets when he runs his organization the way he does with no loyalty no security and no real drive to win a ring anymore. Just make money. No respected MLB FO professional will even take an interview. The organization is becoming a real joke.
  17. I never mentioned that trade. I would have never traded Sale just for the fact that I wanted a good healthy year from him because he missed all that time. And if I did it wouldn’t have been for another middle IFer.
  18. We never really gave Harrison a chance. Besides. He gave drohan as well. It was a bad move. He made a lot of moves that made us worse.
  19. And we let preister go when we needed depth and he could have helped. and Harrison? for what? A Punch and Judy 5’6middle infielder who Breslow promptly screwed up his swing and he had to get better from outside this org…now what Harrison is doing is what we should be enjoying. Not a 200slap hitter
  20. Some did. His roster construction overall sucks which makes it all look like a waste. He’s in way over his head.
  21. If the season ended the Sox would have the third pick in the draft. 403 win% not sure there’s a way to fix this mess this year. Just a poorly constructed team. Breslow lost on trades and was/is in way over his head. I’d have some hope at the trade deadline if it weren’t for that fact. I just hope they don’t sink below 400. That’s beyond embarrassing…
  22. Yeah, and he was just hired for the asst GM position within that same year so he had little experience as even as an asst GM. He is grossly under qualified for the position of PBO
  23. Bennett is so damn slow to the plate. They HAVE to do something about it. The throws aren’t even close.
