  1. I strongly disagree. This team has 2 major holes, 2B and 3rd, and a 3rd area of big improvement possibility#2 SP. There is an apparent salary ceiling. If they dont trade more than 1 player off the current roster then they dont fill the holes the way us fans think they should. Those are just facts, or at least apparent facts. Obviously, if you are going to trade off the roster and want quality players in return you have to give up value. If your trade to fill m one hole just creates another you dont get better. One of the few areas of excess is OF. They basically have 5 on the roster, counting the D horrible DH that has basically no trade value. Which of the other 4 do you want to trade. They also have an excess of 4th or 5th spot SP, but you have to be careful trading out of that depth as well...
  2. Maybe Sox go in a totally different direction and sign framer Valdez and then trade for hitters with their excess in SP.
  3. Bergman would be a fine addition, but then they need a trade or two. Another 1B or 2B starter is needed. They HAVE to trade an OF and parts to improve another position. Probably need another RP as well, but those are always such a crapshoot.
  4. Its 7 stories, but at 129 ft its more like 13 stories of "residential". It is over 18 ft per floor.
  5. Im beginning to think the Sox need a spark. As good as rafaela is on D, He isn't cutting it on O consistently. I'm thinking adding Anthony to the OF in LF, Durran in center and Abreau in RF would be a balanced O and D OF. As for the INF, adding Mayer to SS, story to 2b, and Campbell to 1B(assuming he can handle it). 1B being the biggest risk on D, and Campbell is a versatile athlete, so it is more a matter of time than ability. Rafaela as super utility...
  6. At least 2 of the 3 big prospects will get a solid chance to be involved this season, albeit maybe not out of spring training for service time reasons.
  7. I would much rather Arenado...With Yoshida involved in the trade to match salaries somewhat. Will take a few prospects to sweeten the pot for sure...Don't like all the stories I've heard about bregman and his relative struggles with lefties anyhow, spoiling the point.
  8. I would have been disappointed if the sox spent $ on another Out fielder...
  9. I think the Soxx have gotten the quantity part filled up. They also have the economical FA signings quota filled. Time to turn a little of the excess in OF etc into 1 or 2 quality options. Whether that is cease, arendo, teoscar, etc. You have to remember that the sox will have at least if not all 3 of their top prospects ready to go sometime in 2025. Right now there is no room for them without DFA assets that would be better utilized as trade ammunition. I'm thinking hamiliton, grissom, abreau, crawford/giolito, yoshida. can 4 of those 5 plus a couple farm hands bring you arendo and cease , or at least an excellant SS/3B plus a top 3 starter?
