The next obvious answer is push non fossil fuel power.

Some would argue we need a couple of big boppers. I would push for a much higher team obp. .245 .319 .717 with 285 2b, 26 3b, 163 hr isn't enough power to make up for .319 obp. I like guys on base. Puts huge pressure on the pitcher. Pitch from the stretch, dancing baserunners, sb, pb advances, balks, taking the extra base, just exciting baseball. Hr are cool, obp is fun.

Way way to many chances to even try to get replacement level. If not for the injuries to mada and even more so Anthony and Duran would have played at least half less ab , and more likely 2/3 less. He just has played very poorly. At least Durbin has gotten over his very slow start to become consistently playable.

Duran's problem is probably a lot of players problem. Trying way too hard to hit more Homer's. His strengths point to a 400 obp with 750 -800 ops and have a lot of sb, 2b, 3b, and only 10-12 Homer's. 100-120 runs. A top 2 hitter. Instead he has a few more Homer's, but is basically unplayable. Put it this way. If you merged masa contact ability with Duran's speed you'd have the perfect Duran.

Curran should feel very lucky. To get as many ab's as he has and played this poorly is flukey. There is really only one thing Curran has done well this year, and that is clutch hitting. He has certainly made the most of the few hits and on base chances he has had. Last night's GS is a perfect example. For a guy with a 267 obp to have as many hr, rbi and sb as he has is pretty impressive. When/if Anthony y, masa, and mead return ready to go durran shouldn't see the lineup.

We can dream about the roster if all the IL players were back...it probably won't happen, but mead, Anthony, and crochet and at least 1 other starter would be pretty amazing to have back...

Those are outstanding if their avg, so so if it's obp, or slg, and horrific if it's ops. I bet later.

I think lindor is a negative value player. Six should be able to trade similar negative value player(s) for him.

Hands are a little different. There are few muscles in the hand. Tendon for ring finger joins the muscle in the forearm, so ring finger tendon might be sore in wrist area.

It would have to be primarily for other bad contracts for me. Story and Yoshida for lindor? Durran in there?

What about an out of the box thought and play wiltin at c/ dh/ 1b, and find a 1b out on the market. Much easier to find a power rh bat on a non contender there...

Still weird they have so many historically successful players hit so poorly to start the year. Anthony, story, Durbin, durran...and then mayer as well. All of them will eventually return to their averages right?
