    Mayer looks really comfortable and I really like his swing, if he continues to prove that he can hit, he may force his way onto the field. A middle infield of Mayer and noodle arm story is not the worst combination to start the year!!!!!

    I think story needs to ask Cora if he can play more 2b. Right now story is living the phrase “objects in the rear view mirror may be closer than you think” with every game Mayer plays

    Yesterday Wilson looked terrible! The day before Chapman could not find the plate even with military grade GPS! Penrod is currently injured. it caused me to wonder. Who will be the two lefties in the bullpen this year????

    Devers shoulders are barking. The decision to be a DH full time is most likely being made by Devers body

    Mayer is a big boy, lot of moving parts for him at shortstop. Not sure we can ever rule out injuries for him. now third base might be the single best defensive position for him with the added benefit of the chance to mitigate injuries As for his hitting, he has a little swing and miss in his swing, but other than that, the dude is a tremendous hitter!!!! Definitely further along than the other two!!! He may not have the same ceiling though bottom line, I think he only sees Fenway if story get hurt or slumps big time. At the end of the year we have to add him to the 40 man roster anyway
