At this point, I wish we had preister back
  2. Larry Cook
I agree with you 100 percent!!!

Tolle had 19 swings and misses on 83 pitches. That is crazy amazing
  4. Larry Cook
That is the gamble bres-slow has to evaluate!!! but I did see someone proposed Chapman and refsynder for Abel!!!!!

We can call the dodgers and send them buehler and mussett and they send us dalton rushing!!

I have seen painter throw twice now and I am a believer in his stuff!!! maybe bres-slow just sends them Duran and Chapman then!!!!
  7. Larry Cook
The team we need to be calling is Philly!! Desperate Dave needs a lefty reliever and an outfielder and a third basemen!!!! Chapman, Bergman and Duran for painter!!!
  8. Larry Cook
I do not think he is ready for Boston yet!! Maybe September
  9. Larry Cook
Pittsburgh said everybody except skenes and 1 other is available!!

Song and uberstine walking a bunch of hitters!!! Command and control not there tonight
  11. Larry Cook
To get painter, I have no problem giving up any prospects not named Mayer or Anthony
  12. Larry Cook
I agree with this 100 percent! but this year is unique in that we have quality major league talent with years of control that should allow us to get a contending team’s best pitching prospect!!
  13. Larry Cook
Harrison appears to be throwing a splitter or cutter that they are calling a slider!!! terrible looking pitch!! I think Harrison needs more work in Worcester
  14. Larry Cook
Rivera was wild tonight 5 walks in 4 innings. Ugly!!! ehrhard with his 5th tater for Portland. He would be a prospect if he could hit a breaking ball!!!!

Plan B trade - I do not know what Arizona is going to do at the trade deadline, but Merrill Kelly is a guy I would take a flyer on! he is a rental so he we should be able to get him fairly cheap
  16. Larry Cook
If I was desperate Dave, I would never trade Abel, even for Anthony
  17. Larry Cook
I think Duran needs a fresh start: Duran, Hamilton and prospects (not Mayer or Anthony) to desperate Dave for painter!!!!! time for bres-slow to dance with desperate Dave
  18. Larry Cook
Cody Williams suggested Garcia (password) plus others for alcantera of Miami!!! We have to face facts, alcanterra’s control is abysmal at best!! And we already have a guy with serious control issues already on staff now in buehler!!! &nbsp but as the season is progressing alcanterra is figuring it out while buehler is getting worse The question is should bres-slow try to put together a deal for alcanterra by the trade deadline????

The young lineup will have ups and downs!!! but first things first, we have to fix the rotation!! We need a number 2 starter desperately!!!! (And a number 3, unless you think giolita is for real)
  20. Larry Cook
Rivera was amazing at Greenville!! Really good stuff when he has command and control!!
  21. Larry Cook
Last year he could locate that big sweeping pitch on the corners of the plate for strikes! now that big sweeping pitch ends up over the heart of the plate and gets murdered
  22. Larry Cook
Houck was lit up like a pinball machine tonight!! Ugly!!!
  23. Larry Cook
Maybe surprised. But putting eyes on a guy gives me a better picture!!!

I am super impressed at the job the Red Sox have done with Tolle! I saw him at TCU and except for the sneaky delivery with his fastball, I was not that impressed! when I watched him this past weekend, I hardly recognized him. But still that sneaky fastball delivery remained! His stuff is so much sharper and tighter and he is throwing it for strikes.

As we head into the second half of the minor league season, I think several prospects are having a really good year and overall, our minor league system is still fairly deep despite the graduations and pending graduations! I think bres-slow deserves props to his work in this regard!!?!
