  1. More nonsense. You stated that I did not provide any data when I clearly stated that he has the 6th most hits all time and a lifetime .310 batting average. Obviously it is you who lacks reading comprehension. With every post you demonstrate how little you know about the game.
  2. Ummm, the only "data" that matters is that all of the writers that vote for the HOF aside from 1 agree with me. As do most people that have more than half a clue about the game. Talk about lacking reading comprehension skills. Smh.......
  3. Correct, which is my point. 1B rarely go down with an injury in the field.
  4. Well, I think it's fairly evident that it wasn't handled very well between cora, devers and brez.
  5. Not if he continues to slash .197/.271/.308 as he has over his last 30 games.
  6. gonzalez's OPS is a 52 at bat sample size. It's .672 over his career while yoshi's is .776 for his career.
  7. You can believe whatever you like, that doesn't make it true. And the "increased risk of injury" is way over-blown. How many 1B go down for an injury every year due to playing in the field........
  8. That's kinda misleading. If devers was at 1B with a .920 OPS and someone like yoshi was in the DH spot with an OPS of .750 or better, wouldn't that be an overall improvement?
  9. These things tend to average out over the season. I'm sure they've won some games that they "shoulda/coulda" lost.
  10. MLB Power Rankings: All 30 MLB Teams Ranked From Worst To First After Week 8
  11. You can "believe" whatever you like, but in the end it's just an opinion. I could just as easily say that I believe that cora wants raffy at 1B, but is too scared to bruise his ego further.
  12. Things change and he wouldn't be the 1st to be let go following an extension.
  13. Well, considering that the sox change GM's like most people change their calendars, cora is the constant.
  14. Red Sox quietly reaching breaking point with veteran leader’s offense
  15. If you get a chance, if you haven't already, I would suggest checking out the movie "Becoming Led Zeppelin"
  16. Ah, yes, because what the manager/front office says to the public is always exactly what is said behind closed doors.
  17. And you know this after sitting down for tea and crumpets with john henry?
  18. Intimidated? Now that's even funnier. Get over yourself. And there was no insult, I simply stated that I don't believe that you actually played and/or coached the game. The point is that he certainly did merit 1st year induction to all but one of the people who's opinions actually matter. And talk about being unable to comprehend, elite = 1st ballot election.
  19. Although this red sox season is reminding me of a Paul Simon hit. Slip Sliding Away
  20. With each post you make it more clear that you actually never played the game in your life above maybe t-ball. 39th out of thousands of players is still elite. .310 lifetime average is still elite. You make me laugh.
