    That's not really the question, though. The questions is does he really save more runs over the course of a season vs an average fielder compared to how many less runs he creates over the course of a season compared to an average hitter.

    So you would put bregman, who has played a total of 9 games at 2B in his career and none since 2018, at 2nd base and leave devers at 3rd. Thereby potentially weakening 2 infield positions instead of shoring up 1. Got it.........

    Correct, but there are many more stats to look at then just Fld% as others have pointed out. For example, he was on pace to tie or surpass his season high in errors.

    Both of their ERA's may be being helped by the fact that neither makes it past the 5th inning all that often.

    I misunderstood your post. I took it as guys that get to more balls make more throwing errors and then you pointed out that devers doesn't get to many and makes throwing errors.
