    i agree. some say it's just bad luck, but i'm in the "you make your own luck" camp.

    the most insane part of the entire deal. i've said it a million times...the Sox FO is nothing but f***ing idiots.

    Red Sox management has a history of making stupid decisions. i don't expect that to change this year. last offseason, they could have had Lugo or Wacha (who both had better bWARs than Gio) for less money.

    and he is, by far, the most exciting player on the team. trade him and it's just a bunch of blah -like the Rays- that nobody wants to watch. i don't give a s*** about the rest of the teams in MLB, but i like to watch guys like Elly Da La Cruz, Ohtani, Bobby Witt Jr., Mookie and even Soto and Judge because they're exciting to watch.

    and it's year after year after year. it's not like started out great and got better. he has been bad from the start. maybe he and Casas platoon DH/1B and let Mayer or Campbell play third. Matt Chapman would have been nice.

    the fact that Cora hasn't even had Devers at first in spring training tells me that he might be part of the problem.

    only thing i can figure is that Iggy didn't fit into their philosophy of only signing injured or soon-to-be injured players.

    too bad the Sox didn't sign Wacha and Lugo, instead of a broken down Giolito.

    i'm happy to see the Astros out of it, too. nothing against the Tigers, but i think i'm pulling for the Royals and Phillies in the WS.
