    yeah....the Sox were paying Paxton nearly the same money to rehab in '22 and could have kept him for '23, but went with Kluber instead. the Sox FO is f***ing nuts.

    sign Soto and Burnes. it's not like JH can't afford. but he'll choose not too because investors and it's all about the bottom line, winning be damned.

    no on trading our Duran. yes on trading for a Duran. yes on signing Soto. but he's not an aging or injured journeyman pitcher, so JH would never agree to it.

    you're off by 20 years. why? the Curse of Mookie. after winning the 1918 WS (2018) and a ******** owner getting rid of the teams superstar player in Ruth (Mookie) the next year, the Red Sox next trip to the playoffs wasn't until 1946. ergo, the next time we make the playoffs will be 2046. and the next WS Championship doesn't happen until 2104. it's gonna be a long wait.

    i hear this a lot, but respectfully and seriously, what does it even mean? build through the farm with draft picks? doesn't every team have a farm and get to draft? aren't these no-brainers that every team does? IMHO, it just means this: we're too f***ing greedy to spend money on free agents, so we are going to just play what we have and hope for the best.

    we keep fretting about what pitcher(s) the Sox might sign when in reality, the Dodgers will sign any free agent worth having. the rest of us peons will have to fight for the scraps.
