  1. hell yeah. Henry shoulda hired you as CBO.
  2. looks like there were tens of people there to see it.
  3. what if he's cheap?
  4. so draft more shortstops, right?
  5. if they sign neither of these two (which i don't expect), then Brez is just Bloom 2.0.
  6. absolutely meaningless.....due to MLB's definition of a Win, which i think is absurd. there should be a way to decide which pitcher gets a "win" rather than the ******** definition they have now.
  7. Emerson Hancock too. He absolutely dominated this year in AA. Too bad he’s not with the Sox.
  8. I watched him quite a bit in Double-A this year. He was good. Good enough that Seattle didn’t even bother trying him at AAA before calling him up. I’m excited about him pitching for the Sox.
  9. it's called Schrödinger's Wax Pack -and well-known in Quantum Card Collecting.
  10. i agree on unloading Yoshida. That's a ton of money for very little production that we could desperately use on pitching.
  11. Fire the entire clueless as f*** FO.
  12. i never held any animosity towards Buckner. it's a shame what the fans and media did to him. same with Donnie Moore of the Angels.
  13. i don't know about Red but Breslow was not even my Top 10 of who i thought might get the job. and really, i'm not sure how much it matters who it is if it's the same dysfunctional, haphazard, half-assed FO/ownership approach.
  14. i remember the '75 series but it didn't hurt anything like '78. and yeah, Buckner's Blunder crushed my soul as well. 2004 was the Greatest Day Ever.
  15. some thought Oct 2, 1949 was the worst day in Red Sox history after Joe McCarthy pulled Kinder for Mel Parnell. i wasn't around then but Oct 2, 1978 was the worst for me.
  16. i skipped school to watch a certain playoff game, Oct 2, 1978. that was the day my hate for the skankees started and continues to this day.
  17. sorry, i didn't catch that.
  18. yeah, but their defense is the exact opposite of the Red Sox. i think the Dbacks and Rangers are ranked 1-2 in defense. maybe, just maybe good D has something to do with success. don't tell Max though.
  19. i don't think so. 144 innings would have been second to Bello's 157.
  20. too bad we don't have a GM/CBO/WHATEVER like that.
