  1. I want Tito's team to go all the way. That they will beat the Yanks tonite is sweet.
  2. I just want to say that if the Red Sox bring back JDM I will commit suicide. He looks like a girl at the plate and his swing speed is very low. Bring back Vaz and keep Reese Jackson McGuire. Use Hosmer as DH and 1st base. Keep Casas. He is not hitting, but seems to have a good eye at the plate. He needs a chance. Houck, Whitlock should start, add Wacha. Keep Brayan and Pivetta in the rotation. Maybe Sales can pitch one more time. Spend dollars on relief pitchers. That is where the Red Sox lose games.
  3. My proposal: Kike: infield/outfield Arroyo: infield/outfield Verdugo OF Refsnyder, OF, DH Pham, Hosmer DH plus playing time. Devers 3rd X man. ss McGuire catching, bring Vaz next year Casas 1b Story 2nd, SS Duran bench, pinch runner Starting pitchers Whitlock Bello Houck Wacha Sales Pivetta et,al Spend money on relievers. That is where the Red Sox are losing games.
  4. I could be wrong but big boy Casas is an improvement over Cordero catching the ball.
  5. One would think JDM should be hitting 8th. Or JDM should sit and Pham could be DH. That would get Refsnyder on the lineup.
  6. JD has lost swing speed and power. He hit that ball as hard as he could and he was not sure it was going out hence he was hustling as he ran to 1st base. The ball barely made it over the fence.
  7. JD on the line up hitting 5th is horrible. Bench JD, use Pham as DH so he doe not drop flay balls on the outfield. Put Refsnyder on the outfield Bat Arroyo 5th.
  8. BTW, the X-man should have been traded.
  9. Youk is not that bad. Her is OK most of the time.
  10. Pham cannot catch any ball hit above his head. There was a 50% chance he could catch this short one in front of him. I hope he does not come back.
  11. There must be an infielder somewhere in the Red Sox organization that can hit more than Sánchez. Perhaps a double AA guy.
  12. JBJ and Kike catch that flyball to centerfield with no problems. Duran moves funny while awkwardly chasing the ball.
  13. Ha, ha! That play at 2nd was much closer than expected.
  14. That makes sense. Another one that frustrates me is a long a bat after the count is 3-2. Fouling multiple pitches off the plate and then suddenly taking one down the middle with no swing. I guess the pitch catches the hitter by surprise. Bobby Daulbec is an expert doing this.
  15. Guys, I have a general baseball question: Quite often a hitter comes to the plate and takes the first pitch, a strike down the middle of the plate. I am watching at home and say to myself: "Wow that was such a nice pitch to hit". Then the second pitch is one foot outside the plate and the batter swings missing the ball by 8 inches. Why is this so common?
  16. Is Alex Cora responsible for the Red Sox demise? It seems no one mentions Cora in this debacle.
  17. Why in the world we did not keep this guy? BTW, who did we get for Rizzo?
  18. Bello is not Pedro. Last night Bello was a bit like a batting practice pitcher. I was massively disappointed.
  19. A neg Covid test within 24 hour is way better than a vaccine certificate. A vaccinated person could be festering with Covid and enter Canada with no problem.
  20. Fauci who is quadruple vaxed could have gotten into Canada before he turned Covid positive. Vacccinated and non vaccinated people can get infected. It is best to require a neg Covid test within 24 hours before entering Canada. That would make much more sense.
  21. How about signing Correa and put Bogey on 2nd base?
  22. Houck can definitely be a starter. Whitlock, can easily be groomed to be a starter. he is young and string and already had his TJ surgery.
  23. Astros pitchers Garcia and Framber had incredible stuff. All Sox hitters looked helpless. Where do they find those pitchers? There is no contact hitter on the bench. As soon as the pinch hitters came up to bat I saw strikeouts.
  24. I would think both Whitlock and Houck could be starters. It is much easier to look for good relievers. Is there a ready to go SS prospect in the farm?
