    We should trade Verdugo and Yoshida for some pitching and spend money on free agents for more pitching. Rafaela, Abreu, and Valdez can likely produce as much offensively for less money.

    Honestly, the Sox have enough hitters. They simply have no defense and poor pitching. They need a new manager, two top SPs, plus the best relievers money can buy. I don't see a need to go out and get more bats if they cannot pitch or catch the ball. Could they be coached to play better defense?

    Once Barraclough is out of the game Cora will have to use a position player to pitch. Obviously by following Cora's logic he cannot use a pitcher unless the Sox are winning in the 9th.

    This is not the first time Wong makes a stupid base running error. As I watched Pivetta it was obvious he was out of gas. Bad on Cora.

    Devers is not killing it at 3rd base. Could Devers do better at 2nd base? He seems to have most of his errors with hard hit balls at him. Sox need to win the next 6 games.

    On a sad note, Kike doing OK in LA and playing everyday. Hopefully Urias can play well here.

    No one knows. Story may start with a slump or perform just like Kike. There are no guarantees. If they are truly healed I feel or hope that Sales, Houck, and Whitlock can be 90% as good as our three current starters.. Sales, Houck, and Whitlock as a group should be better than a rental SP some other team wants to trade. I rather go for more BP pitching.

    I would not go for a starting pitcher. Right now our three starting pitchers are doing amazing and we will soon have Sales, Houck, and Whitlock. That would be three additional starting pitchers. I would deal Verdugo for high promise prospects. Once Story is back we do not need more bats.

    Kike is either a DP or infield fly most of the time. Needs to go back to the Dodgers. Duval cannot see the ball. They need to be traded for prospects even if Sox pay the entire salary due.
