  1. You can BS all you want, but how has the Nation put up with this year?
  2. I’m fine with Story at 2B too, but if the new shift rules are put in next year Story won’t be playing out in short RF so much, and might be more valuable at SS if Bogey leaves.
  3. The payroll difference is well known, and has been for years, but the Boston fan base would not put up with what Tampa’s scant fan base would.
  4. If Paxton was picked up along with QO to Nate, and Evol that would tie up around $50M. I agree with Wacha over Nate.
  5. I would really like to see a upgrade from Pham in the OF.
  6. It was good seeing Kelly loose his first game also. He’s gong to find the sledding a lot tougher in the SEC, and at LSU.
  7. Ian Book turned out pretty well, but I don’t think he was so highly rated going in.
  8. I’m not so sure that Bloom didn’t try to get rid of Evol, and JD, but there might not of been much a demand for either one, and as it has turned out that demand would have been right.
  9. A big difference in Ray’s way is the fan base. Did you see all those empty seats masquerading as fans yesterday? What you can get away with in Tampa might not go over so well in Boston. Especially with the amount of money the diehards shell out to go watch a game at Fenway.
  10. Most years you don’t need lots of minor league depth, but this year was not like most years.
  11. There are lots of other questions that have to be answered 1st. Pitching, pitching, and pitching BP, and the rotation.
  12. You are right about Judge, but Atlanta doesn’t seem to have any problems getting their young players to sign early.
  13. I don’t think anyone would make a big trade for Raffy unless they were pretty sure they could resign him like the Dodgers did with Mookie.
  14. Dugy needs to go back to LF, and the Ref is nothing more than a journeyman 4th/5th OF. I don’t even count Duran as even minor league depth anymore, and same with Franchy. I’ve seen enough of both in the field, and at bat.
  15. Soto had 2+ years to go, and Raffy only 1, so there is a big difference there in what you could get back.
  16. Don’t you think they should have found this out say like 2 years ago?
  17. 1. Cora came out, and said before the season even started, that Story would not be playing SS when Bogey didn’t, so don’t look at others playing SS as meaning anything. If Bogey isn’t resigned it remains to be seen who goes to SS, or 2B. 2. Dugo needs to go back to LF, and a RF would be more of a priority.
  18. 2-5-10 2 games under 500 5 games back in the L column for last place in the Div. 10 games back in the L column for last Wild Card spot. Just can’t get back to 500, or beat the Div teams. 4 game sweep of Texas was nice, but back to reality we go, and most likely stay there the rest of the season. Pretty pathetic.
  19. Wow! Left the bat on his shoulders. Weak.
  20. Hitting with MOB, and leaky BP. Same ole, same ole.
  21. Yes he had a little power surge when he came back up just like he did the first time, but 1-12 with 8 k’s in his last 12 AB is almost like him striking out 15 out of 16 his last time around . Arroyo should be in the line up, or DH. Franchy should not, and he not a good OF either.
  22. And we’re see the results today.
