As always over analyzing. A good utility man is a bad ball player? Wow! He’s never had a regular position, and had played many, so you can call it what you want. Sounding off, because he actually had some hits last night, which doesn’t make up for him sucking all year with the bat, or doesn’t make up for him coming up small in big situations the previous two night. A career 240 hitter is no superstar. You rate Kike how you want to, and I’ll rate him how I want to. This has already been discussed on other threads, so there is no need to do it again. I’m not changing my mind, and your not changing yours. If saying Kike is a good utility ball player isn’t good enough for you then to bad that’s how I SEE it.

Kike was overrated by his hot streak in the postseason last year, and no I’m not judging him just on last year as you know I have referred to him on previous post as a good utility man, so to say 1 year is not true just like you said I didn’t like fWAR, or any of the others. I have said I don’t need it, and don’t care about it.

But that was last year, and the EYE TEST says he sucked this year, and that’s all I need.

I still say his rabbit ears are up, and he doesn’t like all the bad publicity the team, and Bloom are getting, and to some extent him.

Who said anything about Casas being called up in May? I agree with you that Bloom just sat around even as you say 1B went into the gutter immediately, and did nothing. Mr. Indecisive. Mr. Coming to the fork in the road, and looking for the third option Bloom. So let me get this straight even if the team need help at the time, because it was against the so called norm to make a trade in May, and June Bloom couldn’t do anything? What a load of crap that is, and just another load to make more excuses for Bloom. Come on man!

And some on here. Hope that Bloom’s suspects will turn into something, and hope the team will be better in 2024, or 2025.

I was saying they need another OF back in April, which was real time, and a real 1B in July, so call it what you want.

That is hindsight now, but not moving when it could have mattered to me is incompetence. Watching Franchy Strange Glove, and the Butterfly Man in CF to me was embarrassing if nothing else.

You are making to much of the trade deadline, and not what I think was the bigger problem, which was getting 1B help 2 months sooner than Bloom did, and not getting a RHH OF before the season even started. Lord forbid if the Sox would have had to give up a suspect.
