  1. How were they in better position when there is lots of needs, and lots of teams needing? Big spenders too.
  2. In this case I’d call it more than speculation, but no concrete evidence either way.
  3. You don’t think Cora had some nudging on that? I was very vocal, and against Kike getting Resigned. Like I said he lived off his hot October of 2021 streak on here for 2 years after.
  4. I think it was more of keeping his boy in the lineup when it come to Kike, and Cora.
  5. Kike’s bat in the lineup? He didn’t hit his last two years in Boston. Kike was way overrated on here, because of October 2021.
  6. Seems to me the Red Sox already have a regular 3B, so that answers that question. Like I keep saying Cora for the most part especially at 1B, and 3B is playing the cards he’s been dealt, and you can keep saying Cora doesn’t value D all you want, but that’s not going to mean, or change anything.
  7. What’s jumping the gun got to do with my typing? Not one blessed thing. I was already done, but in your haste to say I gotcha you missed the point completely that I was talking about to many labels in baseball, and not about FA. You have NEVER clarified anything for me on here, and most of the time you don’t know the point anyway, so it would be pretty hard to do. I clarify for you that there is more than 2 labels in MLB.
  8. I’m certainly not defending Cora, but I think he thought his boy Kike could handle SS in the beginning, but why he kept him there that long is no defense for it especially it was known early he couldn’t handle it.
  9. Keeping Bogey at SS is not even close to being a good example of what happened, or didn’t happen at SS last year.
  10. I’m not even going to contemplate anything to do with acquiring Chapman, because like I said I think there is a snowball’s chance in hell of that happening. I know your fixated with Chapman like you was with Gallo last year, but neither did, or will happen.
  11. There is nothing contradictory at all. Cora values D, but sometimes you have to play the cards you are dealt, and in this case Cora has been dealt Raffy, Casas, and Yoshida, and that’s what he’s going to play. It would be great if Raffy could pick ‘em like Mikey Lowell, and Casas could scoop em like Boomer Scott, but they can’t. I’m sure everyone sees D as a problem, but to make a drastic move to fix it just might not be in the cards.
  12. You are not putting Bloom, and Slow Mo in the same category with the many years experience of DD are you. Obviously DD had a fallen out with JH, and most likely Bloom had a fallen out with someone.
  13. As usual jumping the gun, and getting it wrong. I was talking about to many labels in baseball, and not about FA, and I’m pretty sure there are a lot more labels than 2. Late for the party, and the question, and answer had already been changed, so when you thought to yourself I gotcha, you ended up getting yourself.
  14. I’ll agree with that.
  15. Casas looking good working out. Cornrows, and a full Beard. Hope he’s dug out that 1B mitt over the winter.
  16. I get that but does it matter that Kike was a FA the first time, and technically not a FA the second time signing with the Red Sox? I think there are to many labels now.
  17. There is nothing free about it. Does it really matter that Nate was a FA, and Sale was not?
  18. Gross incompetence, or preference?
  19. Bloom went full throttle on Yoshida that’s for sure. I think he even shocked Boris.
  20. Once again that’s what you took from my statement, because that’s what you wanted to make it from my statement. I’m essentially saying that Cora sticks with his players maybe to a fault just like he did with Kike at SS last year. It has nothing to do with thinking that Cora is stupid. If you feel that way then I disagree with you. Sticking with, and staying with a player to me is not stupid. Stubborn maybe.🙈
  21. I don’t have a clue what they are waiting for, but it has to be something. I hope it’s not for Monty, and Snell to get decided, because with Boris having both as clients it could be a long wait.
  22. That’s what you got out of that? I know you’ve been all fixated with getting Chapman, but I don’t think there is a snowball’s chance in hell of that happening. Of course Cora likes D, and he talks about it all the time, but I just don’t see him moving Casas, or Raffy off their positions to a FT DH role. Once again you come up with this far fetched notion that I’m saying Cora is stupid. You must think that to come up with it, but I just think there is not even any kind of thought of adding Chapman, or moving Raffy, or Casas.
  23. Just, because it took weeks to name Bailey as the pitching coach, and they didn’t replace the 3B coach, and they’ve not done much of anything substantial to improve the club just looks a little slow. I’m sure the wheels are turning in baseball ops control at this very moment, and something big is imminent. Ok I’m not so sure. I said this yesterday before anything had been done, and I kept preaching patience when so many on here were crying foul, or sham when they haven’t even been given a chance. The wheels are still turning, and the Red Sox are not done yet.
  24. It only makes sense with a better D. Chapman wouldn’t be cheap, and I can’t see Cora putting Raffy, or Casas at DH full time. They are to young for that. If the starting pitching doesn’t get better the team won’t get better. Getting a better 2B would be a bigger priority to me for the IF. I don’t think getting any 3B is even on the Red Sox radar at this point.
  25. I think JH is more interested in the PGA tour right now than the Boston Red Sox plus all the other adventures going on. While the Red Sox used to be the shiny bauble has now lost some of its luster to JH.
