  1. Really that’s the best you can come up with? Bloom was just getting his feet wet two years in, but after four years he was in over his head, and drowned.
  2. You mean like Cora? The funny part is when you called me, and others bashers you didn’t know Cora was the ring leader, who had a direct path to JH’s ear, and I believed he used that path more than once, and that had something to do with Bloom getting fired when he did.
  3. The MASSIVE budget cuts were a MASSIVE exaggeration to fit a continuing narrative for a reason Bloom couldn’t succeed. Obviously it was a tall task for Bloom who did go over the CBT in 2022 with all his wheeling, and dealing.
  4. Do you think Bloom was fired just for the sake of change? I have no idea what DD would have done, or even Theo for that matter. The word out there was that DD was in trade discussions with the Dodgers during the 2019 about Mookie, so I have no doubt DD would have traded Mookie after the 2019 season. What he would have gotten back in either scenario I don’t know. Yes I said on Day 1 that Bloom was a bad hire, but I also said on day 1 that i wouldn’t have signed Price for that big contract, and I said on day 1 that i wouldn’t have resigned Sale, so I haven’t always defended DD. The main point all along is that I don’t agree with the theory, and concept that just because Bloom was a failure in Boston that not everyone else would have been a failure too in the same situations including DD. Bloom is not even in the same league as DD who has had a long, and distinguished career, and Bloom has a short, and losing career as a front man. DD was fired, because he had a falling out with JH, which I take was over the philosophy of going forward after three years of first place finishes, and a WS title, so JH wasn’t careful what he wished for, and ended up with Gloom, and Doom Bloom. If you ask DD he doesn’t know why he was fired, but we all know why Bloom got fired.
  5. 🤭🙈🤭.
  6. I can hear the chant now from Bloom’s biggest supporter. Chaim Bloom he’s my man if he can’t do it no one can!
  7. It also makes no sense to assume it won’t. One on here has gone on, and on for two years now theorizing that, because Bloom failed under the conditions he was handed, and had to work with that no one else could have succeeded either especially DD. Like Bloom who was in over his head from day 1 was the standard to go by. Just because Bloom failed in no means mean that everyone else would too especially someone who’s experienced like DD.
  8. I got your point 100%, and it’s still WOW!🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈.
  9. You are not comparing Bloom to Vince are you? That’s about as big a stretch as you can get. Vince is a legend, and Bloom is a loser. WOW!
  10. Complaining about the schedule, and being in the same Div the Red Sox have been in since divisions were brought in to me is whining, and crying, and saying poor me. Bloom having one winning season out of four, which was good enough at 22 games over 500 does not make up for 3 losing seasons even if the team was 80-82. I didn’t say 2021 didn’t count. If it makes you feel better count it go ahead, and add things all up, but obviously it wasn’t good enough for JH.
  11. I certainly didn’t expect another season like 2018 in 2019, but just not that big a drop off.
  12. DD gets a lot of the blame for the 2019 season, but the team wasn’t ready to start the season either especially the pitching staff.
  13. The lasting impression of Bloom are him telling people things were going to be awesome, and him picking up trash in the stands at Fenway between games no doubt looking for more pitching help.
  14. You aren’t other people, and they would think that, because it is true, and happening. If you don’t think about the Red Sox sitting out another postseason then I can’t help you.
  15. Of course Vince didn’t do much losing either unlike Bloom.
  16. The looking for the third fork in the road doesn’t happen if Bloom had a clue what he was doing, and wasn’t so indecisive at trade deadline time. He was decisive though when he stayed over the CBT though.
  17. Who is loom? Once again the main point is that not everyone like you thinks about, or cares about context.
  18. Nothing wrong with the comment about Citizens Bank Park.mi commented on it last night in real time on the Postseason thread. You don’t think other Red Sox fans were thinking the same thing last night that in Philly the park was filled, and raucous, while Fenway sat empty? The Phillies were in, and once again the Red Sox were out.
  19. Even Charlie had a sell off, or at least tried to.
  20. How many fans think, or even care about context like you do? On the other hand how how many fans only care about the WL record in the here, and now, and where the team is in the standings?
  21. So wasn’t Blooms actions, or should I say non actions. You don’t get one with out the other.
  22. REFLECTIONS! I agree! At the fork in the road. Beep, beep.
  23. You mean like talking about Bloom’s overall record.
  24. It doesn’t have to be, but it’s the main point.
  25. LYAO all you want. I’ve said before the 1967 team was, and is my all time favorite Red Sox team even though they didn’t win it all, and they were mostly all home grown. 1975 was another good team, and mostly homegrown.
