  1. They need to keep Chavis's bat in the line up no matter if the need to transition him into an OF. JBJ had more than enough time to prove himself offensively and he failed time to consider justifying his everyday status. Time doesn't stand still for no one Boggy came up in the same year as JBJ look at the hitter he turned out to be. Everyone needs to realize what they've got in JBJ is a good defensive OF nothing else.
  2. Well that's what they have been paying him for a few years now actually he's making $21.125 mil this year. If he was been paid 5 mil /year he would still be overpaid.
  3. JBJ streak is over he went 0-3 with 3 K on Saturday. Yesterday Alex Cora used JBJ like he should be used as late inning defensive replacement and they won the game no team can afford to have 2 or 3 players with a sub par 200 avg in their line up. Time to wake up Cora and do what best for this team.
  4. None if there's anybody left who's in their right mind in this organization. Anyone who would consider paying a 4.76 ERA pitcher over 20 mil/year should seriously consider on having himself checked out.
  5. Other than for the 2016 season he has constantly struggled at the plate every year. His sample size is large enough for anybody to make a pretty accurate assessment on his offensive capabilities and could very well be viewed as an inconsistent hitter by many. Father time is no friend to anybody especially athletes we seen how teams are becoming leery on FA players and big contracts especially the ones who are on the backside of 30. Bradley jr will likely be viewed as late inning defensive replacement for many teams his value isn't going to be high.
  6. Not as lame or shameful as how some Boston fans and media treated him after no one deserve such a hateful environment accompanied by death threat because a game. What's the first thing that come to mind for Red Sox fans when his name is mentioned his career was much bigger than just that one play and most true baseball fans knows it. Unfortunately it's still a part of baseball history. There's a fine line that sport fans should never cross given toward the treatment of a professional athlete and it happened in this case.
  7. GG and CY are pick the BBWA which some are dummy more less a popularity contest on who's who in baseball. Corey Kluber said it best for the 2016 CY it's not that Porcello didn't deserve the award it's just that Verlander deserve it more.
  8. Seriously you'd rather have someone with a .230 avg vs a .300 hitter come to the plate in crucial situation with the game on the line. If homeruns were so important in a game how come practically every team that lead the league in HRs didn't win the WS. The game hasn't changed the team that scores the most runs win whether it's by singles, doubles, triples or HR and even bunting or stealing home. So your philosophy is the guy that hits the most HR should win the league MVP according to you he's the better player irregardless.
  9. Tell us the difference between a 2 run scoring single and a 2 run homer. The guy with higher average but the ball in play more often which means better chance to advance runners and score runs the guy with the lower avg doesn't the ball in play and leave runner stranded on base. How many runner has JBJ left on base way too many for anybody's liking.
  10. 4 GG vs 1GG there's could be a good debate on that issue.
  11. Stats prove otherwise Pillar career avg .258 vs .234 avg for Bradley.
  12. How about George Springer or Kevin Pillar who can actually pick em as good as anybody with same service time as JBJ and the same age both with a better bat and WAR
  13. Ok you think his defense is so elite let's do a comparison with Kevin Kiermaier from TB Rays They're both the same age 29 they both broke into the league the same year 2013 one was drafted in the 1st round the other in the 31st round. Bradley Jr. 701 Games 2611 PA 11.8 WAR Kiermaier 583 Games 2225 PA 24.9 WAR You claim that Bradley is so elite on defense his best defensive WAR was in 2014 where he ranked 9th. Kiermaier had 2 season where he ranked 1st for defensive WAR in 2015-2016. Bradley is a good defensive player but there's others who are equally as good and some are even better. He's not as irreplaceable as you guys try to make him out to be. We hear it every year wait till he heats up or next year will be better time has come and time has gone what you see is what you've got and right now it getting a bit harder to even justify him being an everyday player. There's already a 72 mil dollars signing sitting in the minors because of this.
  14. Look at it as you want to please yourself but the facts are that he's 29 year old with a combined 7 year stint in the major with the same old problem he can't hit other than a few lucky steak once awhile. He's no rookie coming out the minors his label is pretty much define a good fielder with a below average bat.
  15. I imagine that Steve Pearce had nothing to do with us winning the ring either Right.
  16. The same could be said about Pablo Sandoval too but we all know how that turned out didn't we. You can't just nit pick the good and ignore the bad it's the overall picture that counts how good a player really is and for the 7 years that JBJ has been in the MLB he's far from being an elite player. His WAR over his tenure is 11.8 WAR over 7 years that's a measly 1.6 WAR per year isn't exactly a HOF caliber candidate.
  17. So because he hit 2 HR in a series while hitting .200 avg Why don't you look at his overall postseason stats which will give you more of realistic picture. The only positive you can find is when nit picking the high points.
  18. Excellent Post nobody could've said it any better. Easily we can conclude that your vision isn't impaired by Rose Colored Glasses.
  19. That's not what I'm saying, JBJ isn't the player everyone trying to make him out to be he's nothing more than a good defensive player one dimensional there's no upside to his game other than a great glove.
  20. Well Ellsbury's first year he played less game than JBJ the only big difference Ellsbury put up positive WAR and was hitting .353 compared to .189 and negative WAR no matter how you want to slice it there's no case to made here it's quite obvious looking at the stats over the span of 7 years.
  21. My point is if you take Ellsbury best year then take away JBJ best year you'll end up with Ellsbury with double the WAR that JBJ put up even with his 2010 injured season.
  22. Close math is obviously isn't your strong point how even is 21 compared to 11. Over 7 years Ellsbury put up 21.2 WAR during the same span of 7 years JBJ put up 11.8 WAR that's not even remotely close that's almost double the WAR that JBJ was able to put up.
  23. It's just prove how overrated JBJ is in the eyes of many here. Who wouldn't keep Beni over JBJ for CF if one had to be traded.
  24. It's just prove that JBJ isn't the player that some are trying portraying him to be for the Red Sox.
