  1. No I'm saying in the 7 years that Jacoby Ellsbury wore the Red Sox uniform he was the better player over JBJ.
  2. Defensively JBJ is the better CF but Ellsbury was no slouch either he might not read the ball off the bat as well JBJ but he made up for it with his superior speed he's also a GG CFder. Ellsbury was definitely the overall better player taking into account the offensive side of the game with hitting in the leadoff spot and the stolen bases.
  3. Yet you chose only to pick the best years and omit the bad let's be fair and look at the overall career over the 7 years. Ellsbury 21.2 WAR in 7years Red Sox Bradley Jr 11.8 WAR in 7 years
  4. You can't nit pick here Bradley has been up in Boston since 2013 if he couldn't hit enough to stick that's his own fault in 2014 he was in 127 games with over 400 PA. How about the BA how you don't talk about that stats I guess you don't want to talk about stolen bases because first off you need to get on base in order to steal. Take away JBJ best year and his OPS is .673
  5. Waiting to heat up I think 7 years is long enough waiting for someone to break through this guy has been so cold he could be a title track on the Eagles Hell Freezes Over album. JBJ was suppose to be Ellsbury replacement as bad his contract turnout to be for the Yankees when Jacoby was in Boston he produced and was key in their success. JBJ stats in his first 7 years will never be close to Ellsbury 7 years in a Red Sox uniform. Rusney Castillo signing was attributed to JBJ inability to hit and fill the void on the team.
  6. Some players are underrated while others are overrated and this is the case for JBJ other than in the eye of Red Sox Nation this guy is way overrated he's nothing more than a Coco Crisp or Kevin Pillar type player.
  7. Vladimir Guerrero has been called up by the Toronto Blue Jays he'll suit up for Friday nights game against the A's. This kid has been tearing it up at every level of the minor leagues all indications show it will continue in the MLB with his bat.
  8. Rick Porcello is highest paid mediocre middle of the rotation pitcher other than he was given the Cy Young in 2016 that's right given because he surely didn't earn it Verlander was the true winner because 2 yardbirds idiots left him off their ballots. How can you explain the runner up with the most first place vote to an award clearly not be on all the voting ballots their excuse was they submitted their ballots 2 weeks early when Porcello imploded. Porcello only category that he lead Verlander was in team wins he didn't have the better ERA. not innings pitched, not the SO or WHIP. If the 2 dummies would've had Verlander on their ballots he gotten a couple of votes which would've given him the CY Young they should have an asterisk by his name like they had for Roger Maris 2016 Cy Young awarded by mistake by 2 idiots that screwed up their ballots. The guys has lifetime 4.29 era not exactly your ace quality pitcher never like the guy never will Chris Davis got out his slump thanks to Porcello anyone having trouble hitting just let them face Porcello good for morale and confidence booster. If the Red Sox are smart this is one guy they will let walk as soon as his deal is done.
  9. There's a gamble with any signing at anytime look at what happened with Pablo Sandoval. Waiting for Mookie to hit free agency just exposes him to other offers from more teams and likely when it reaches that point the player doesn't really care anymore about the former management the money will dictate where he signs. There will be plenty of interest in Mookie Betts when the time come don't worry about it or make the Red Sox should be plenty worried.
  10. Betts is no dummy he seen what the other top elite players got for contracts Henry and the Red Sox got the money pay him or lose him. Mookie is one of the 5 top elite player in baseball and these idiots are trying chump change him. When will they learn didn't work for Lester and it won't work for Mookie either. They can pay 31 mil for Price 25 mil for Martinez and 21 mil for a middle of rotation pitcher in Porcello. Betts should get at least 35 mil plus on 10-12 year deal.
  11. I knew Swihart had no chance to clear waivers luckily he got traded. Mike Hazen and Torey Lovullo were familiar with Blake from their time with the Red Sox organization. Plus if he would've hit waiver the Blue Jays would've probably claimed him with Ben Cherrington in their front office as VP of baseball operations he the one who drafted him in the first round back in 2011.
  12. JBJ is 29 year old he's been in the league for 7 yrs now. He's no rookie by all means I think it's safe to say with what we've seen over his span in the MLB is that he's a good defender with limited offensive capabilities. Let's face it guys he's one dimensional player time to give it a rest nothing is going to change.
